Objectives: To evaluate the effect of astaxanthin in treatment mild-to-moderate dry eye disease (DED) middle-aged and elderly patients. Six milligram Astaxanthin tablets (Weihong Haematococcus Pluvialis Astaxanthin, Hangzhou Xinwei Low Carbon Technology R&D Co., Ltd., China) administered orally, twice daily for 30 ± 2 days.
