The Paris Agreement emphasizes the critical role of forests in addressing climate change and ecological protection. High-quality forestry development is an important aspect forest conservation. As a core strategy for China’s economic transformation, new-type urbanization increasingly interacting with high-quality development. This study aims to explore this relationship analyze its impact mechanism. Taking representative Yellow River Basin China as example, research uses benchmark regression model, mediation effect threshold model from 2010 2022 quantitatively on results show that (1) has significantly promoted development, estimated coefficient 0.325; (2) different regions exhibits significant differences, return coefficients upper, middle, lower reaches being 0.326, 0.213, −0.359, respectively; (3) technological innovation plays key improving production efficiency, resource diversity, ecosystem services, 6.543 innovation; (4) greater government support, larger impact. p-value double 0.037. Accordingly, achieve joint efforts are required at both national regional levels promoting urbanization. At level, specific areas should be taken units, collaborative plan formulated based land spatial planning system. clarify top policy objectives, set up special funds, establish long-term incentives supervision mechanisms, ensure new positive appropriate innovations introduced local characteristics, differentiated policies promote region.

Cultivated land is an important material carrier providing multiple supplies for production, living, and ecological benefits. As area of cultivated subject to high levels human activity during urbanization, the functional level structure suburban have been strongly impacted. In this study, we took in Nanchang City as research constructed a multi-functional indicator system context ecology, landscape culture. Using improved CRITIC-entropy weight method optimal parameter geographical detector model, examined evolution from 2012 2022 its response mechanisms urbanization. The results showed that (1) multifunctionality peri-urban shows general decreasing trend, with decline gradually increase distance central urban area. (2) contrast, few areas away city small medium increase. function trend 2012–2022 due urbanization level. However, production functions increased slightly, whereas cultural decreased significantly. (3) impact on multifunctional transformation complex process largely shaped by economic influenced multitude factors. Therefore, management policies must fully mobilize socioeconomic resources each region.

Abstract Assessing the effectiveness of vegetation restoration along Yangtze River shoreline and exploring its relationship with land use changes are imperative for providing recommendations sustainable management environmental protection. However, impact post-implementation Conservation Project remains uncertain. In this study, utilizing Sentinel-2 satellite imagery Dynamic World data from pre- (2016) post- (2022) periods, pixel-based binary models, transition matrices, geographically weighted regression models were employed to analyze status evolution coverage shoreline. The results indicated that there had been an increase in area covered by high high-medium levels. proportion cover shifting better was 4201.87 km 2 (35.68%). Hotspots improvement predominantly located River. Moreover, areas witnessing enhanced experienced notable changes, notably conversion water crops (126.93 , 22.79%), trees (59.93 10.76%), built 10.76%). Notably, between emerged as a significant factor influencing improvement, average coefficients 0.68 0.50, respectively. These outcomes underscore significance study guiding ecological protection

Exploring the spatiotemporal evolution and driving forces for green transition of cultivated land (GTCL) has become an important part deepening research on use transition, significant implications addressing environmental issues agriculture development. This study took cities in Henan province, main grain-producing area central China, as objects, established evaluation system GTCL based subsystems spatial, functional, mode transition. The entropy weight method spatial autocorrelation model were used to measure index analyze pattern; then, geographic detector was explore forces. from 2010 2020 showed stable growth, exhibiting heterogeneity with a decrease southeast northwest. growth three is inconsistent, order value being functional global Moran’s province positive values, indicating dependence spillover effects. population density, urbanization rate, per capita GDP, irrigation have always been GTCL, agricultural modernization would promote areas. results provide reference exploring path promoting utilization sustainable development China’s major

For the purpose of providing crucial theoretical support for guaranteeing food security and reaching low-carbon emissions, this study examines spatiotemporal evolution influencing factors eco-efficiency cultivated land use (ECLU) across 125 cities in Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) from 2005 to 2022. Utilizing models such as Super-SBM, spatial autocorrelation, standard deviational ellipse, regionally weighted regression, we investigate characteristics factors. The results indicate that (1) 2022, overall ECLU YREB has shown a notable increase, demonstrating an “N”-shaped trend “rise-decline-rise”, although trends vary at city level, with upstream areas exhibiting higher efficiency than downstream midstream areas. (2) Furthermore, significant positive correlation exists among cities, pronounced differentiation; centroid displays migration trajectory “southwest-northeast-southwest”, long axis ellipse consistently oriented “southwest-northeast” direction. (3) Additionally, exhibit heterogeneity different years regions, revealing substantial regional disparities YREB. Future efforts should focus on exploring differentiated pathways, increasing investment agricultural technology, enhancing farmers’ environmental awareness promote improvement ECLU.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to conduct a thorough empirical investigation the intricate relationship between urban housing sales prices and land supply in China, with aim elucidating underlying economic principles governing dynamic interplay. Design/methodology/approach Using monthly data authors use asymmetry nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (NARDL) model test for nonlinearity price prices. Findings results confirm existence an asymmetric find that has positive statistically significant impact on when increasing. Policymakers should strive strike balance safeguarding residents’ rights maintaining market stability. Research limitations/implications Although effect been identified as contributor study, it important note research primarily relies time series focuses analysis at national level. offer macroscopic perspective overall trends within country, they fail adequately showcase structural variations among different cities. Practical implications To ensure stable meet needs, policymakers must reexamine current policies. Solely relying restricting control may yield counterproductive results. Instead, increasing could be more viable option. By rationally adjusting prices, government can not only mitigate excessive growth but also foster healthy development market. Originality/value First, have comprehensively evaluated China examining whether play facilitating or mitigating role fluctuation these Second, departing from traditional linear analytical frameworks, explored possibility existing China. Finally, using advanced NARDL model, delved deeper into effects
