Introduction:
Amyotrophic
lateral
sclerosis
(ALS),
a
neurodegenerative
disease
that
causes
muscle
weakness,
paralysis,
and
death,
develops
when
motor
neurons
begin

die.
There
are

proven
treatments
for
ALS,
because
the
is
incurable,
exact
cause
unknown,
making
it
devastating
condition.
According
recent
research,
marine
algae
may
contain
bioactive
substances
can
be
used

ALS.
Methods:
The
comprehensive
review
of
publications
focused
on
compounds
extracted
from
various
species
algae,
including
their
mechanisms
action
against
oxidative
stress,
neuroinflammation,
apoptosis
in
were
reviewed
scientific
journals
(ScienceDirect,
Springer,
Taylor
&
Francis,
MDPI)
indexed
several
databases
(Scopus,
Web
Science,
PubMed,
Google
Scholar,
so
on).
Discussion:
Compounds
derived
polyunsaturated
fatty
acids,
fucoxanthin,
polysaccharides,
exhibit
potential
neuroprotective
effects
by
modulating
neuroinflammation
stress
levels.
Fucoxanthin,

demonstrated
mitigating

which

Conclusion:

Seaweeds
are
