Abstract Manganese oxide nanoparticles with different crystal phases, morphologies, and structural diversity along their exceptional properties like high specific surface area, a fraction of atoms, non‐toxic nature, excellent redox are drawing attention for various applications in storage science, especially the batteries, super‐capacitors, energy conversion, environmental catalysis field. Precise control particle size, morphology, Mn x + oxidation state, etc. is utmost important aspect to explore application full potential. Manganese oxide nanoparticles (MnO2 NPs) were synthesized through a simple one-pot green synthesis method using Saraca asoca leaves extract (SA-MnO2 NPs), and their physicochemical properties characterized various analytical techniques, including electron microscopy (FESEM TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), diffracted spectroscopy (EDAX). The as-synthesized MnO2 NPs had highly crystalline structure with calculated size of approximately 18 nm d-spacing value 0.216 nm. morphology the SA-MnO2 was like stacked cubes high elemental purity, as confirmed by EDAX spectrum. Further, confirming as-obtained from XRD analysis, samples subjected to anti-cancer activities evaluate reactance against cancer cell lines. in vitro activity material assessed two breast lines, namely MCF7 MDA-MB-231. results showed that exhibited significantly lower levels cytotoxicity these indicating potential an effective anticancer agent. IC50 at 24 h greater than 20 μg/mL. Therefore, could be promising candidate for developing novel treatment therapies.
