Vegetable production under plastic sheds severely threatens regional eco-sustainability via anthropogenic activities (excessive use of agrochemicals, pesticides) and problems associated with replanting. Long-term successive cropping across growing seasons induces continuous stress, whose effects manifest as diminished plant growth. Therefore, it is imperative that we develop environmentally sustainable approaches, such replacing agrochemicals vegetable waste like dry raw garlic stalk (DRGS) or biofertilizers arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) (e.g., Diversispora epigaea). In this study, the influence AMF on growth, biochemical attributes, antioxidant defense system, phytohormones, accumulation osmolytes, phenols, mineral elements in eggplant grown DRGS-amended soils monocropping (CMC) was studied. The results showed inoculation DRGS amendment could improve pigments' content, photosynthesis, system; augmented phytohormones synthesis (except for ABA), increased leaves' nutrients. These parameters were enhanced most by combined application DRGS, which also concentration including proline, sugars, free amino acids when compared control. Furthermore, either alone, combination, ameliorated induced stress from reducing incidence Fusarium wilt ROS (reactive oxygen species); lipid peroxidation underwent maximal reduction plants treatments. AMF, + exhibited a lower disease severity index (33.46, 36.42, 43.01%), respectively, over Hence, coupled alters photosynthetic attributes through upregulation its system greater led to improved growth yield eggplant.

Plastic products are widely used around the world, but waste plastic is not reasonably managed and causes serious pollution. Biodegradable plastics (BPs) provide an alternative to conventional plastics, all BPs can be completely degraded under natural conditions. Instead, they may break down into microplastics (MPs) faster than posing additional threat soil environment. In this paper, definition, applications, degradation behaviors of BPs, including biodegradable (BMPs), reviewed, we comprehensively summarized eco-toxicological effects BMPs in ecosystems, terms physical chemical properties soil, nutrient cycling, bacterial fungal communities, flora fauna.
