Fungi are essential members across ecosystems yet also pose significant risks to crops and human health. To thrive in microbial consortia, a fungal organism must integrate the perception of both inter- intra-species signals. Here we present Yeast Mating Platform (YeMaP) decipher cell-cell communication based on G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) pheromone peptides. We use YeMaP investigate influence abiotic factors multiplex for high-throughput screening sequences identify peptides with improved potency or antagonism action. Additionally, demonstrate that plant pathogen Fusarium oxysporum GPCR-pheromone interaction is robust conditions, it can be disrupted by supplementation promote non-pathogenic GPCRs consortia. Taken together, useful tool deciphering complexity GPCR-based guiding design future crop pest- disease-management programs.

Abstract Insecticides are toxic substances used to control a wide variety of agricultural insect pests. Most these chemicals in nature, and their increasing residues soil, water, fruits contribute environmental pollution, chronic human illnesses, the emergence insecticide resistance phenomenon. In context green environment, bioinsecticide metabolites, including proteins, safe alternative that mostly has selective toxicity insects. Thus, this study aimed predict identify new toxin-like families through uncharacterized secreted proteins from one most potent entomopathogenic fungi, Beauveria bassiana ARSEF 2860, which was selected as model. work, total 2483 amino acid sequences (Ups) were retrieved RefSeq database. Among these, 365 UPs identified using SignalP web server. We implemented integration well-designed bioinformatic tools characterize anticipate homologous similarities at sequence (InterPro) structural (AlphaFold2) levels. The function annotation predicted DeepFRI. With 269 successfully folds, we putative with pathogenesis functions related toxins like Janus-faced atracotoxins (insecticidal spider toxin), Cry (commercial Bacillus thuringiensis ), ARTs-like toxins, other insecticidal toxins. Furthermore, some not any known experimental data functionally cation metal ion binding (Zn, Na, Co) potential toxicity. Collectively, computational genomics can be host–pathogen interactions novel families.
