In this work, Hexagonal Mesoporous Silica (HMS) and Santa Barbara Amorphous-15 (SBA-15) mesostructured silicas were synthesized functionalized with sulfonic acid groups. The materials (HMS-SO3− SBA-15-SO3−) evaluated as strong cation exchange sorbents for sample extract clean-up, by solid phase extraction (SPE) dispersive extraction, to determine atropine (At) scopolamine (Sc) in commercial culinary aromatic herbs. Under optimized conditions, 0.25 g of was subject solid–liquid acidified water (pH 1.0), good recovery percentages achieved At Sc using 75 mg HMS-SO3− SPE the clean-up stage, prior their determination HPLC-MS/MS. proposed method validated a thyme showing recoveries range 70–92%, linearity (R2 > 0.999), adequate precision (RSD ≤ 14%) low limits (MDL 0.8–2.2 µg/kg MQL 2.6–7.2 both analytes). Sixteen herbs samples (dried thyme, basil coriander leaves) analysed found fourteen over an interval <5–42 μg/kg, whereas three sixteen studied (between <5–34 μg/kg). amount some confirms importance setting maximum levels

A magnetic dispersive solid phase extraction method combined with solidification of floating organic droplet-based liquid–liquid microextraction has been validated for the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from honey samples. For this purpose, a carbonised cellulose–ferromagnetic nanocomposite was used as sorbent through extraction. preparation sorbent, first, cellulose nanoparticles were created by treating filter paper concentrated solution sulfuric acid. Then, prepared loaded onto Fe3O4 coprecipitation. In process, few mg added to diluted and dispersed in it using vortex agitation.
