Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a lung disease that worsens over time, causing in the lungs and ultimately resulting respiratory failure high risk of death. Macrophages play crucial role immune system, showing flexibility by transforming into either pro-inflammatory (M1) or anti-inflammatory (M2) macrophages when exposed to different stimuli, impacting development IPF. Recent research has indicated polarization onset progression M1 secrete inflammatory cytokines agents early damage fibrosis, while M2 support tissue healing releasing cytokines. Developing novel treatments for IPF relies on thorough comprehension processes involved macrophage The review outlines regulation its impact IPF, with goal investigating possible therapeutic benefits advancement

Abstract The expression dysregulation of microRNAs (miRNA) has been widely reported during cancer development, however, the underling mechanism remains largely unanswered. In present work, we performed a systematic integrative study for genome-wide DNA methylation, copy number variation and miRNA data to identify mechanisms underlying in lower grade glioma. We 719 miRNAs whose was associated with alterations or promoter methylation. Integrative multi-omics analysis revealed four subtypes differing prognoses. These glioma exhibited distinct immune-related characteristics as well clinical genetic features. By construction regulatory network, identified candidate immune evasion response immunotherapy. Finally, eight prognosis related were validated promote cell migration, invasion proliferation through vitro experiments. Our reveals crosstalk among regulation glioma, could have important implications patient stratification development biomarkers immunotherapy approaches.

Although cancer has long been considered a genetic disease, increasing evidence shows that epigenetic aberrations play crucial role in affecting tumor biology and therapeutic response. The dysregulated epigenome cells reprograms the immune landscape within microenvironment, thereby hindering antitumor immunity, promoting progression, inducing immunotherapy resistance. Targeting epigenetically mediated tumor-immune crosstalk is an emerging strategy to inhibit progression circumvent limitations of current immunotherapies, including checkpoint inhibitors. In this Review, we discuss mechanisms by which regulate interactions how targeted therapies synergize with immunotherapy.

Glioma is a highly aggressive brain cancer associated with significant mortality. Despite advances in diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, the prognosis for glioma patients remains poor due to limited accuracy monitoring capabilities. Translocator protein (TSPO) mitochondrial implicated various cancers, including glioma, where it plays role cell survival, proliferation, chemo-resistance. This review article aimed comprehensively analyze of TSPO particularly its potential applications enhancing methods strategies. Molecular imaging techniques have emerged as promising tools non-invasive diagnosis, disease progression monitoring, treatment selection gliomas. A comprehensive literature was conducted explore TSPO’s expression patterns, biological functions, molecular imaging. Studies utilizing positron emission tomography (PET), single photon computed (SPECT), magnetic resonance (MRI), other modalities were included. overexpressed cells, high-grade tumors, correlating tumor aggressiveness patient prognosis. TSPO-targeted agents demonstrate high specificity sensitivity detection, positioning marker accurate diagnosis monitoring. Future studies should focus on optimizing protocols, validating their clinical utility, exploring combined improve precision.
