The trace detection of pyocyanin (PCN) is crucial for infection control, and electrochemical sensing technology holds strong potential application in this field. A pivotal challenge utilizing carbon materials within sensors lies constructing carbon-based films with robust adhesion. To address issue, a novel composite hydrogel consisting multi-walled nanotubes/polyvinyl alcohol/phosphotungstic acid (MWCNTs/PVA/PTA) was proposed study, resulting the preparation highly sensitive stable PCN sensor. sensor capable achieving continuous range 5–100 μM across variety complex electrolyte environments. limit (LOD) as low 1.67 PBS solution, 2.71 LB broth, 3.63 artificial saliva. It demonstrated that introduction PTA can PVA through hydrogen bonding to form stabilized architecture, effectively addressing issues related inadequate film adhesion unstable characteristics observed MWCNTs/PVA alone. By adjusting content hydrogel, an increase followed by subsequent decrease current response observed, elucidating how regulates active sites conductive network MWCNTs on surface. This study provides new strategy offers feasible assistance towards advancing practical applications.
