The incidence of chronic wound healing is promoted by the growing trend elderly population, obesity, and type II diabetes. Although numerous dressings have been studied over years, it still challenging for many to perfectly adapt process due dynamic complicated microenvironment. Aiming at an optimal reproduction physiological environment, multifunctional electrospinning nanofibrous membranes (ENMs) emerged as a promising platform treatment owing their resemblance extracellular matrix (ECM), adjustable preparation processes, porousness, good conformability site. Moreover, profiting from booming development human-machine interaction artificial intelligence, next generation intelligent (iENMs) based dressing substrates that could realize real-time monitoring proceeding individual-based therapy has evoked surge interest. In this regard, general wound-related biomarkers are overviewed firstly representative iENMs stimuli-responsive materials briefly summarized. Subsequently, emergent applications highlighted. Finally, opportunities challenges next-generation well translating into clinical practice evaluated.

In diabetic patients with skin injuries, bacterial proliferation, accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the tissues, and impaired angiogenesis make wound healing difficult. Therefore, eliminating bacteria, removing ROS, promoting are necessary for treating acute wounds. this study, benefiting from ability polyphenols to form a metal-phenolic network (MPN) metal ions, TA-Eu MPN nanoparticles (TM NPs) were synthesized. The prepared photothermal agent CuS NPs TM then loaded onto supporting base needle tips PVA/HA (PH) microneedles, respectively, obtain PH/CuS/TM microneedles. Antibacterial experiments showed that microneedles could remove bacteria by effect. vitro effectively scavenge inhibit macrophage polarization M1 type, induce M2 type as well have promote vascular endothelial cell migration angiogenesis. Furthermore, vivo accelerated inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines rat model. efficient antibacterial, ROS scavenging, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, angiogenic abilities hold promise dressings

Abstract Diabetes significantly impairs the body's wound‐healing capabilities, leading to chronic, infection‐prone wounds. These wounds are characterized by hyperglycemia, inflammation, hypoxia, variable pH levels, increased matrix metalloproteinase activity, oxidative stress, and bacterial colonization. complex conditions complicate effective wound management, prompting development of advanced diabetic care strategies that exploit specific characteristics such as acidic pH, high glucose stress trigger controlled drug release, thereby enhancing therapeutic effects dressings. Among solutions, hydrogels emerge promising due their stimuli‐responsive nature, making them highly for managing these The latest advancements in mono/multi‐stimuli‐responsive smart showcase superiority potential healthcare materials, highlighted relevant case studies. However, traditional dressings fall short meeting nuanced needs wounds, adjustable adhesion, easy removal, real‐time status monitoring, dynamic release adjustment according wound's conditions. Responsive represent a significant leap forward proficient sensing responding environment, offering more targeted approach treatment. This review highlights recent dressing, delivery, emphasizing role improving healing. It addresses ongoing challenges future directions, aiming guide clinical adoption.
