Polymer nanoparticles with low curvature, especially two-dimensional (2D) soft materials, are rich in functions and outstanding properties have received extensive attention. Crystallization-driven self-assembly (CDSA) of linear semicrystalline block copolymers is currently a common method constructing 2D platelets uniform size. Reversible addition–fragmentation chain-transfer (RAFT) polymerization was used to synthesize novel thermoresponsive cationic molecular brushes with high yields—namely of copolymers methoxyoligo(ethylene glycol) methacrylate, alkoxyoligo(ethylene and N-methacryloylaminopropyl-N,N-dimethyl-N-propylammonium bromide. Controlled yielded polymers a weight dispersity ≤1.3 conversions exceeding 80%. The influence the brushes’ composition on their solubility in water organic solvents, interfacial tension at water–oil interface, aggregation behavior aqueous solutions investigated. For first time, we report design combining an antibacterial potential tunable hydrophilic–hydrophobic properties, enabling highly precise control over LCST (17–68 °C) through tuning. solubilization capacity hydrophobic compounds brush micelles increased comonomer content. Prior studies on photonic pigments of amphiphilic bottlebrush block copolymers (BBCPs) through an organized spontaneous emulsification (OSE) mechanism have been limited to using polyethylene glycol (PEG) as the hydrophilic side chains and toluene organic phase. Herein, a family polystyrene-block-polyvinylpyrrolidone (PS-b-PVP) BBCPs are synthesized with PVP block. Biocompatible sustainable anisole is employed for dissolving obtained followed by solutions in water. Subsequent evaporation oil-in-water emulsion droplets triggers OSE mechanism, producing thermodynamically stable water-in-oil-in-water (w/o/w) multiple emulsions uniform closely packed internal droplet arrays assembly at w/o interface. Upon solidification, homogeneous porous structures formed within microparticles that exhibit visible structural colors. The pore diameter widely tunable (150∼314 nm) changing degree polymerization BBCP (69∼110), resulting colors across whole spectrum. This work demonstrates useful knowledge can be generally used fabrication ordered materials functional groups, not only applications, but also offers potential platform catalysis, sensing, separation, encapsulation, etc.

Aim: Encapsulating epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) in pH-sensitive polymeric nanoparticles for targeted delivery of drugs could revolutionize colorectal cancer treatment. Materials & methods: Nanoparticles were synthesized to release at colon pH. Dynamic light scattering measured their average diameter and ζ-potential, while differential scanning calorimetry x-ray diffraction assessed EGCG encapsulation. Results: The showed stability bioavailability the gastrointestinal tract, efficiently encapsulating releasing over 93% pH 7.2. They enhanced cytotoxicity against HT-29 cells demonstrated antibacterial properties, increasing apoptosis cell cycle arrest.
