Abstract Aluminum‐based composites reinforced with ceramics are intriguing subjects for both industry and research. Aluminum metal matrix (Al‐MMCs) constantly ready to create new, unique property combinations that appropriate high‐performance applications. This work involves using a modified stir casting technique (semi‐solid‐state route) prepare ZrO 2 /Al5052 composites. alloy (Al5052) is melted in an electric furnace then cooled slowly semi‐solid temperature. At this stage, pretreated powders added during the rotation of enhance incorporation distribution. Microstructure characterization casted was executed by optical microscopy X‐ray diffraction (XRD). Tensile microhardness tests examined influence zirconium dioxide on mechanical characteristics. analysis XRD patterns demonstrated successful fabrication Al‐MMCs uniform distribution particles. The results reveal strength hardness enhanced as increasing percentage maximum value tensile accomplished 12% dioxide, which increased 27.5% 45.7%, respectively, over base alloy.
