ABSTRACT Multisensory environments rich in modal integration provide cues from various sensory modalities including visually, auditorily, and tactilely. Such plays a crucial role cognitive processing, specifically fostering creativity. Numerous studies highlight that emotional coherence through cross‐modal affective enhances competencies such as memory, attention, the capacity to generate original, fluent ideas. Nonetheless, current research lacks comparative pinpointing how different impact individual We addressed this void by employing cross‐model matching paradigm, anchored on concept of coherence. Our investigation evaluated varying stimuli (both positive negative) creativity performance, considering single (visual auditory), well their cross. study participants were 119 Chinese university students who completed creative task under stimulation modality conditions. observed bimodal audiovisual most effectively enhanced compared solely auditory modality. The visual seemed least effective, underscoring multichannel integration. Interestingly, negative significantly boosted originality, albeit with little difference fluency relative Based theoretical significance multimodal integration, our interpretation these findings suggests its information, serves catalyst for enhancing originality. However, we facilitative effect overall is primarily context emotions. It important note carefully controlled participants' personality factors conducted three types evaluations across ensure validity results. Furthermore, creativity, both terms originality fluency, influenced distinct perceptual characteristics inherent each

Studies advancing the hypothesis of a “gender-equality paradox” have found that societies with more gender equality demonstrate larger differences across range phenomena. In doing so, they rely on practice predicting an algebraic difference score—calculated from mean scores for men and women set countries—with index equality, or some related concept. We argue direct score predictions this type are impossible to interpret because very different combinations constituents—mean properties these means—can produce identical predictions. reanalyzed three large cross-cultural datasets fifteen variables domains—attitudes towards science technology, economic preferences, personality traits—to showcase our method deconstructing investigate what extent rhetoric gender-equality paradox describes real phenomenon. The results were highly heterogeneous. For characteristics, men’s women’s country-level means varied identically as function (no paradox). other there in how varied.
