Current traffic pattern mining methods fail to incorporate the temporal co-occurrence of characteristics. To address this problem, a new spatial-temporal data method is developed involving three steps. Firstly, three-dimensional tensor constructed utilizing AIS data. The discretized and numbered so that each entry represented by one-dimensional array includes region, time, ship type, speed numbers. Then mapped tensor. Second, non-negative factorization (NTF) used break down into multiple sub-tensors (i.e., patterns). effect rank number patterns) discussed, appropriate value determined. Thirdly, patterns are derived from subsequently analyzed in accordance with actual circumstances. demonstrate feasibility method, 9 obtained Tianjin port-Caofeidian waters. These reveal presentation spatio-temporal distribution activities different types, navigation types space, strategic values for port planning, maritime safety sustainability.

Ship course-keeping control is of great significance to both navigation efficiency and safety. Nevertheless, the complex navigational conditions, unknown time-varying environmental disturbances, dynamic characteristics ships pose difficulties for ship course-keeping. Thus, a PSO-based predictive PID-backstepping (P-PB) controller proposed in this paper realize efficient rapid ships. The takes ship’s target course, current yawing speed, as well motion parameters into consideration. In design controller, PID improved by introducing control. Then, combined with backstepping balance stability Subsequently, are optimized utilizing Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), which can adaptively adjust value various scenarios, thus further increase its efficiency. Finally, validated carrying out simulation tests scenarios. results show that it improves error time-response specification 4.19% 9.71% on average, respectively, efficiently achieve under

Port State Control (PSC) inspections conducted under the Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement have become a crucial tool for maritime administrations in European Union countries to ensure compliance with international safety standards by ships entering their ports. This paper analyses all PSC 10 major ports belonging MoU between 2012 and 2019. For its study, multivariate HJ-Biplot statistical analysis is carried out, which facilitates interpretation understanding underlying relationships data set representing synthesis on factorial plane, an that very intuitive accessible readers from various fields. Applying this method ship characteristics as explanatory variables, several classifications were derived. These align annual performance lists published International Association Classification Societies list, suggesting could serve reliable classification approach. It provides authorities additional indicator ship’s risk profile, aiding prioritising inspections. The also effectively categorises types used cargo transport, offering insights into specific traffic each port experiences. Furthermore, study identifies associated substandard ships, primary objective Beyond revealing these traits, research underscores existence readily applicable techniques enhance reduce ocean pollution.
