Essential oil nanoemulsions have received much attention due to their biological activities. Thus, a thyme essential nanoemulsion (Th-nanoemulsion) was prepared using safe and eco-friendly method. DLS TEM were used characterize the Th-nanoemulsion. Our findings showed that spherical ranged in size from 20 55.2 nm. The micro-broth dilution experiment evaluate vitro antibacterial activity of Th-emulsion MIC50 values thymol 62.5 mg/mL against Escherichia coli Klebsiella oxytoca, 250 Bacillus cereus, 125 Staphylococcus aureus. Meanwhile, it emerged four strains not detected. Moreover, Th-nanoemulsion exhibited promising antifungal toward A. brasiliensis fumigatus, where inhibition zones 20.5 ± 1.32 26.4 1.34 mm, 12.5 6.25 mg/mL, respectively. On other hand, displayed weak C. albicans zone 12.0 0.90 MIC 50 mg/mL. Also, activity, but lower than Th-nanoemulsion, all tested fungal strains, range 12.5-50 anticancer effects Taxol, Th-emulsion, evaluated standard MTT method breast cancer (MCF-7) hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2). Additionally, concentration VEGFR-2 measured, activities caspase-8 (casp-8) caspase-9 (casp-9) evaluated. cytotoxic effect most potent MCF-7 cell line after treatment (20.1 0.85 µg/mL), 125.1 5.29 µg/mL treatment. lowest half-maximal inhibitory (IC50) value, 20.1 µg/mL, achieved when treated with In addition, treatments on cells led highest elevations casp-8 casp-9 (0.66 0.042 ng/mL 17.8 0.39 pg/mL, respectively) compared those treatments. comparison (0.982 0.017 ng/mL), (0.672 0.019ng/mL). conclusion, successfully appeared nanoform shape according TEM, also antibacterial, antifungal, as well

Essential oil nanoemulsions have received much attention in the last period due to their ability fight microbes and cancers. In current study, clove thyme essential oils CL+TH-emulsion CL+TH-nanoemulsion were prepared through an eco-friendly method. The was characterized using DLS TEM analyses. Results revealed that droplets spherical shape nanoform size (68.6 nm) with PDI 0.281. MIC concentrations of against tested bacteria found be between 6.25 25 mg/mL. After being exposed MICs CL+TH-nanoemulsion, which additionally prompted 1.43 log 3.12 declines, accordingly, as opposed untreated (Control), number cells grown generated biofilms decreased. Furthermore, exhibited anticancer activity more than toward HepG2 MCF-7. Also, effect is effective significantly cytotoxic taxol on Besides, both emulsions increased rate apoptosis decreased cell viability % MCF-7 by increasing caspases 8 9. Moreover, CL+TH-nano emulsion VEGFR-2 a pronounced manner taxol. Conclusions had antibacterial, antibiofilm well properties, can used different biomedical applications after extensive studies vivo.

These showed a thickness between 37.7 38.2 µm, no significant differences for oil content. Water vapor permeability decreased from 4.03 (oil-free film) to 1.65 (g/msPa) × 10−9 in 3% EO. Mechanical reflected reduction tensile strength (TS) 73 films) values 34 38 MPa EO, while elongation (E%) increased 4.8% 10.4–11.8%. Regarding capacity, as concentration increases, capacity also increases. On average, increase 1.0% 3.0% EOO antimicrobial against Gram-negative Gram-positive bacteria. outperformed EOT E. coli L. monocytogenes. In addition, 2–3% dark yellow color compared control. results suggest that addition can be promising food packaging applications ability improve safety product shelf life by achieving functional characteristics.

Likewise, activity was recorded Enterobacteriaceae, total mesophilic bacteria, yeasts/molds, lactic bacteria. The outcome demonstrated that both meats kept under similar storage conditions (4 °C/9 days) exhibited lower microbial growth, particularly when treated carvacrol—thymol marinades may extend shelf-life.
