Abstract Background The tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a pivotal role in supporting growth and metastasis via several inhibitory mechanisms, which diminish the effectiveness of cancer immunotherapy. Central to metabolic reprogramming tumors, mitochondria orchestrate immunosuppressive landscape TME. Methods We extracted data spanning from 1994 2024 Web Science Core Collection database, focusing on literature pertinent this field. To maintain dataset consistency, we re-evaluated original research articles compared them across various types. Results study identified 3,947 publications, with comprising 67.29% (2,656 articles). overall trend publications increased 2010 onwards, surge 2020. Cancers is core journal most publications. Cell Metabolism has total citations influential journal. Among individual contributors, Zhang J highest number Vander Heiden MG leads local citations. Key figures such as Lisanti MP, Sotgia F, Thompson CB are prominent authors. Thomas Jefferson University noted for pioneering sustaining efforts, whereas Fudan tops publication volume. While China quantity, USA excels encompasses studies enzymes, oncogenes, Warburg effect, related themes. Conclusion last three years have seen burgeoning interest field, key areas gene expression, glycolysis, glutamine metabolism, oxidative phosphorylation emerging central

With the continuous refinement of therapeutic measures, survival rate tumor patients has been improving year by year, while cardiovascular complications related to cancer therapy have become increasingly prominent. Exploring mechanism and prevention strategy therapy-related toxicity (CTR-CVT) remains one research hotspots in field Cardio-Oncology recent years. Cardiotoxicity anticancer drugs involves heart failure, myocarditis, hypertension, arrhythmias vascular toxicity, mechanistically endothelial dysfunction, ferroptosis, mitochondrial dysfunction oxidative stress. To address cardiotoxicity induced different drugs, various measures put place, such as reducing accumulation shifting with less cardiotoxicity, using cardioprotective early detection. Due very limited treatments available ameliorate drugs-induced a few innovations are being shifted from animal studies human studies. Examples include transplantation. Mitochondrial transplantation proven be effective vivo vitro experiments. Several demonstrated that intercellular transfer can doxorubicin(DOX)-induced laying foundation for innovative therapies cardiotoxicity. In this review, we will discuss current status terms pathogenesis treatment, focus on transplantation, hope review bring some inspiration you.

COVID-19, a highly infectious disease, caused worldwide pandemic in early 2020. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), COVID-19 has resulted approximately 774 million cases and around 7 deaths. The effects of are well known; however, there is lack information on pathophysiological mechanisms underlying symptoms that comprise Post-Acute Syndrome (PACS) or Long COVID-19. Neurological sequelae common, with cognitive dysfunction being one foremost symptoms. Research indicates elevated inflammatory levels increased oxidative stress may play role etiology severity PACS. Treatment options extremely limited, no consensus among medical scientific communities how manage disease. Nevertheless, many scientists advocate for using antioxidants symptomatic therapy behavior supportive care. Additionally, current research aims ameliorate several aspects cascade. This review highlights intracellular extracellular pathways crucial neurological manifestations PACS, providing valuable healthcare professionals scientists. Given complex nature understanding these essential developing new treatment options. Assessing PACS challenging, reviewing therapeutic while proposing triad potential elements will add value clinical assays guidelines. Current strategies, such as antioxidants/vitamin supplements, neurogenic stem cell therapy, mitochondrial could be combined enhance their effectiveness. Future should focus validating approaches exploring avenues effective

Despite substantial evidence highlighting molecular communication within the components of neurovascular units (NVU), interactions at organelle level have been insufficiently explored in recent decades. Mitochondria, for instance, beyond their traditional role as energy supply intracellular metabolism and survival, provide a novel perspective on intercellular connections through mitochondrial transfer. These transferred mitochondria not only carry bioactive molecules but also signal to mitigate risks both healthy pathological conditions. In this review, we summarized transfer events, relevant routes, underlying mechanisms originating from diverse cell populations NVU. We particularly focus therapeutic potential mechanism treating central nervous system disorders, notably neurodegenerative diseases marked by dysfunction then highlight promising prospects exogenous supplementation treatment target.
