The synthesis or derivation of a series structural analogues based on natural products is common strategy for discovering antitumor drugs. As unique diterpene derived from Trigonostemon howii, 3,4-seco-sonderianol (1) exhibited moderate cytotoxic effects. To improve the activity, new derivative (1b) with mitochondrial targeting function was synthesized by coupling triphenylphosphine to compound 1. Compared parent molecule, activity 1b increased greatly. A mechanistic experiments revealed that induced cancer cell apoptosis and inhibited migration mitochondria regulating STAT3 FAK signaling pathways. Meanwhile, found inhibit angiogenesis in transgenic zebrafish model. It worth noting also demonstrated excellent effects tumor xenotransplantation models. All evidence supports has potential be candidate an drug.

The genus Rosa is globally popular with well-established applications since it has a high edible and medicinal value. However, relatively limited research been conducted on the composition quality of wild fruits. present study aimed to compare properties chemical components five fruits, roxburghii, sterilis, laevigata, davurica, sericea. UPLC-ESI-MS/MS approach identified key metabolites among fruits as flavonoids, phenolic acids, organic acids. main differential are flavonoids (22.29–45.13%), acids (17–22.27%), terpenoids (7.7–24%), respectively. In total, 125 compounds served potential markers for species. Differential metabolic pathways were analyzed using KEGG approach. laevigata showed highest total polysaccharide (TPS) content 64.48 g/100 g. All extracts effectively decreased levels malondialdehyde while increasing activities superoxide dismutase glutathione peroxidase in H2O2-induced HaCaT cell model, demonstrating antioxidant development. Our findings suggest that studied exhibit biological activity value worth further exploration.

The fruits of Rosa roxburghii Tratt. are edible nutritional food with high medicinal value and have been traditionally used as Chinese folk medicine for a long time. In this study, 26 triterpenoids including four new pentacyclic triterpenoids, roxbuterpenes A–D (1, 4, 5, 24), along 22 known analogues (2, 3, 6–23, 25, 26), were isolated from the R. roxburghii. Their chemical structures determined on basis extensive spectroscopic analyses (including IR, HRESIMS NMR spectroscopy). absolute configuration roxbuterpene A (1) was by an X-ray crystallographic analysis. This is first report crystal structure 5/6/6/6/6-fused system triterpenoid. Notably, B (1 4) possessed A-ring contracted triterpenoid nortriterpenoid skeletons rare system, respectively. Compounds 1–7, 11, 13–15, 18–20, 24, 25 exhibited moderate or potent inhibitory activities against α-glucosidase. 2, 6, 14 showed strong α-glucosidase IC50 values 8.4 ± 1.6, 7.3 2.2, 13.6 1.4, 0.9 0.4, 12.5 2.4 μM, respectively (positive control acarbose, 10.1 0.8 μM). 13, 14, 16 moderately inhibited release NO (nitric oxide) ranging 25.1 2.0 to 51.4 3.1 μM. Furthermore, expressions TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor-α) IL-6 (interleukin-6) detected ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), compounds effects in dose-dependent manner 50

Objective Chloride intracellular channel 6 (CLIC6) is essential for the development of cancer, and it widely studied treatment various cancers. This study aimed to explore potential mechanisms CLIC6 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Material Methods Initially, a subcutaneous xenograft model HCC was established. The groups were treated with varying levels recombinant protein. After 21 days, tumor liver tissues harvested. Tumor size weight measured, hematoxylin-eosin staining used assess histopathological changes tissues. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated 2’-deoxyuridine 5’-triphosphate nick-end labeling employed evaluate apoptosis tissue cells. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction Western blot utilized analyze cytokine messenger ribonucleic acid ( mRNA) or tissues, immunohistochemistry conducted expression. Results significantly inhibits proliferation enhances markedly reduces mRNA interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1β, interferon-γ, necrosis factor-α, IL-17A when increasing transforming growth factor-β IL-4 levels. potentially modulates Th cell balance by regulating forkhead box protein P3, GATA-binding 3, T-box expressed T cell, retinoic receptor-related orphan receptor γt (ROR-γt) expression, thereby restraining progression mice. Moreover, mitigates hepatic oxidative damage via Janus tyrosine kinase 1/signal transducer activator transcription pathway, attenuates c-Jun N-terminal (JNK) phosphorylation, apoptosis-related proteins, effectively hindering development. Conclusion demonstrates potent antitumor effects through inhibition proliferation, promotion apoptosis, modulation levels, regulation immune balance, attenuation stress pathways.

Cili (Rosa roxburghii Tratt) fruit is a nutrient-rich edible plant known for its antioxidant and hepatoprotective properties. However, conventional extraction methods often lead to the degradation of bioactive compounds. In this study, we developed low-temperature homogenate-assisted high-pressure disruption (HHPD) method obtain phytochemically enriched cili extract (HHPD-CFE). The chemical characterization HHPD-CFE showed that it contained higher levels polyphenols, polysaccharides, superoxide dismutase (SOD) than those in squeeze extraction. effects were evaluated oxidative stress-induced liver injury hepatic fibrosis models. mitigated damage by reducing malondialdehyde while enhancing SOD glutathione activity. Additionally, inhibited activation stellate cells (HSC-T6) reduced collagen deposition, suggesting protective role against fibrosis. These findings support promising botanical with compounds liver-protective This study supports potential application optimized techniques preserve thermosensitive improve efficacy functional foods health.
