Three feature extraction algorithms: principal component analysis (PCA) combined with linear discriminant (LDA), LDA/QR, generalize singular value decomposition (GSVD) performed decrease dimension compress Finally, k-nearest neighbor (kNN) classifier utilized classify samples according spectra samples. PCA LDA, GSVD LDA/QR had classification accuracy rates 94.19%, 91.86% 98.84%, respectively. So, showed highest We believe that combination spectroscopy algorithms can types This method may have potential other varieties food.

Abstract As a nutritious plant with valuable potential, the Moringa oleifera Lam. (MOL) leaf addition on Fuzhuan brick tea (FBT) for co‐fermentation (MOL‐FBT) was an industry innovation and new route to make full use of MOL leaf. After optimization extraction conditions, best conditions polyphenols method from MOL‐FBT (MFP) were 60°C 40 min (1:80, V/W) using response surface methodology. A total 30 phenolics identified quantified. Most increased after adding compared FBT polyphenols. In particular, caffeic acids found only in MFP. Moreover, MFP received high value taste, aroma, color. total, 62 volatile flavor compounds, consisting 3 acids, 5 alcohols, 15 aldehydes, 4 esters, 20 hydrocarbons, 10 ketones, others, addition, inhibited 3T3‐L1 preadipocyte differentiation dose‐dependent manner decreased lipid accumulation via peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor gamma (PPARγ)/CCAAT/enhancer binding protein alpha (CEBPα)/cluster 36 (CD36) axis induced brown adipocyte‐like phenotype. vivo experiments further conducted confirm vitro results. regulated accumulation, glucose/insulin tolerance, improved liver kidney function, secretion pro‐inflammatory factors by PPARγ/CEBPα/CD36 alleviated inflammation fat fructose diet‐induced obese mice. summary, possesses high‐quality properties anti‐obesity effects, as well great potential be used novel functional food product.

Abstract Tea is the second largest nonalcoholic beverage in world due to its characteristic flavor and well‐known functional properties vitro vivo. Global tea production reaches 6.397 million tons 2022 continues rise. Fresh leaves are mainly harvested spring, whereas thousands of discarded summer autumn. Herein, pruned biomass refers abandon‐plucked being non‐plucking period, especially At present, no relevant concluding remarks have been made on this undervalued biomass. This review summarizes seasonal differences intrinsic metabolites pays special attention most critical bioactive compounds, including polyphenols, theanine, caffeine. Additionally, meaningful profound methods transform fresh into high‐value products reviewed. In autumn, plants accumulate much more phenols than epigallocatechin gallate (galloyl catechin), anthocyanins (catechin derivatives), proanthocyanidins (polymerized catechins). Vigorous carbon metabolism induced by high light intensity temperature autumn also accumulates carbohydrates, such as soluble sugars cellulose. The characteristics make them not ideal raw materials for tea, but suitable novel like beverages food ingredients using traditional or hybrid technologies enzymatic transformation, microbial fermentation, formula screening, extraction, with abundant polyphenols serving prominent contributors.

Echinochloa crus-galli (barnyardgrass) is one of the most damaging weeds in rice fields worldwide. Allelopathy has been considered a possible application for weed management. Thus understanding its molecular mechanisms important production. This study generated transcriptomes from under mono- and co-culture with barnyardgrass at two-time points to identify candidate genes controlling allelopathic interactions between barnyardgrass. A total 5,684 differentially expressed (DEGs) were detected, amongst which 388 transcription factors. These DEGs include associated momilactone phenolic acid biosynthesis, play critical roles allelopathy. Additionally, we found significantly more 3 hours than days, suggesting quick response rice. Up-regulated involve diverse biological processes, such as stimulus pathways related phenylpropanoid secondary metabolites biosynthesis. Down-regulated involved developmental indicating balance growth stress allelopathy Comparison shows few common genes, different underlying interaction these two species. Our results offer an basis identifying responsible contribute valuable resources revealing mechanisms.

(1) Background: Anthocyanins, the main pigments in plants, are influenced by both temperature and photoperiod. However, specific mechanisms underlying anthocyanin accumulation tea plants response to these two environmental factors remain unclear. (2) Methods: This study subjected potted ‘Ziyan’ four types of day-length treatments (HL (28 °C, 16 h), HS 8 LL (18 LS h)), then conducted targeted metabolomic transcriptomic analyses samples. (3) Results: Long photoperiods low temperatures promoted new shoots plants. Furthermore, enhancing effects on additive exhibit interactive effects. Through a combined analysis metabolomics transcriptomics, five key differentially accumulated metabolites (DAMs) twenty-two expressed genes (DEGs) were identified, latter being found participate regulation biosynthesis pathways under varying light conditions. In summary, extended primarily increase content levels ten metabolites, including cyanidin naringenin-7-O-glucoside, upregulating CHS, F3H, ANS genes. contrast, enhance synthesis seven anthocyanins, cyanidin-3-O-rutinoside, UFGT (4) Conclusions: Collectively, differences expression ANS, might be responsible for plants’ purple shoot coloration, providing important data towards discovery candidate molecular bases controlling leaves varied temperatures.
