Global biodiversity loss and mass extinction of species have raised serious global concerns, especially in fragile ecosystems. Karst forest, a well-known ecosystem, is served as natural laboratory for biogeographical, ecological, evolutionary, taxonomic research. However, richness distribution patterns karst forests largely remain unclear. Orchidaceae has been regarded the "flagship" group plant diversity. In this study, we use Wanfengshan Nature Reserve southeast Yunnan, China, model to determine conservation status orchids forest by conducting systematic field surveys past three years from 2019 2022. total, identified 78 orchid 35 genera Reserve. The dominant were Bulbophyllum andersonii, Eria coronaria, Nervilia mackinnonii Paphiopedilum micranthum. Multiple life forms also observed, including epiphyte (14.29%), facultative (18.18%), lithophyte (23.38%), terrestrial (44.15%). Orchid showed bimodal pattern varied with altitude, higher was recorded at 1,500–1,600 1,200–1,300 m, while minimum below 1,100 m. Each independent hill rich 'endemic' species. Plant-animal interactions very complex include a variety exploitative mutualistic relationships. One most important is that between their pollinators.
