Abstract DL‐Isoborneol is a forestry chemical product that can serve as an intermediate in the synthesis of value‐added plasticizer products. In this study, three kinds esters (octanoic acid‐DL‐Isoborneol, decanoic acid‐DL‐Isoborneol ester, and lauric ester [LDE]) with different fatty hydrocarbon chains were synthesized via esterification reaction. Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT‐IR) Nuclear magnetic hydrogen spectrum ( 1 H NMR) indicated successfully synthesized. The oral toxicity experiment plasticizers mice have toxic doses 5000 mg/kg was environmentally friendly nontoxic. used main to plasticize polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compared commercial dioctyl phthalate (DOP). results showed could improve thermoplastic processing performance thermal stability plasticized PVC than DOP. more excellent compatibility T g reached 22°C, tensile strength elongation at break 40 wt% LDE 12.90 ± 0.83 MPa 342 13%, respectively. improved migration resistance plasticization efficiency completely replace DOP for PVC. Abstract Plasticizers are widely used in poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC), polylactic acid (PLA), thermoplastic starch (TPS), and other modified powder materials to enhance the flowability, flexibility, processability of macromolecules. Because reprotoxicity phthalates animals humans, certain have recently been banned United States Europe. Biobased plasticizers from green biomass–derived renewable resources with low toxicity expected be a substitute for phthalates. Among variety newly developed biobased monomers, cardanol, isosorbide two most promising because their unique structural features. This review summarizes research progress cardanol‐ isosorbide‐based synergistic effects plasticization, thermal stabilization, anti‐migration. By summarizing analyzing relationship between molecular structure plasticizer plasticizing performance, this can provide theoretical guidance future on design isosorbide‐ cardanol‐based plasticizers. Phthalate esters (PAEs) are a group of chemicals used to improve the flexibility and durability plastics. The chemical properties resistance high temperatures promote their degradation release into environment. Food beverages can be contaminated by PAEs through migration from packaging material because they not covalently bound plastic also via different kinds environmental sources or during processing. For instance, alcoholic drinks in containers particular risk, since ethanol contained provides good solubility for PAEs. According its role as an endocrine disruptor compound adverse effects on liver, kidney, reproductive respiratory systems, International Agency Research Cancer (IARC) classified di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) possible human carcinogen. this reason, control exposure PAEs, many countries prohibited use food non-food substances. example, Europe, Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/2005 restricts DEHP, dibutyl (DBP), benzyl butyl (BBP), diisobutyl (DiBP) concentration equal below 0.1 weight plasticizers articles consumers indoor areas. There reports US Drug Administration (FDA) that some (and well), particularly fruit juices, contain levels phthalates. In cases, deliberate adulteration soft with has been reported. This paper would like show difficulties performing PAE analysis beverage matrices, beverages, well main solutions provided quality industrial branches.

Recently, renewable bio-based materials have received more and attention due to environmental issues such as global warming ecosystem destruction. In the present work, a series of isosorbide-based bioelastomers poly(isosorbide carbonate-co-butanediol aliphatic esters)s (PICBAs) are synthesized by facile economical two-step melt polycondensation. Due slightly self-crosslinking reaction isosorbide, PICBAs exhibit excellent tensile strength self-healing ability, mechanical properties can recover over 95% after 48 h under room temperature. addition, stick different substances, glass, rubber, plastic, stones, show better adhesive performance than 3M commercially available double-sided tape. Consequently, great potential be used environmentally friendly pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) in future.
