To evaluate the influence of polydopamine (PDA) treatment on bond strength, fracture, and wear resistance occlusal veneers (OVs) fabricated using additive (AM) subtractive manufacturing (SM) techniques. Three hundred twenty 0.5 mm-thick OVs were through AM SM from four groups materials (n=80): ceramic-filled resin (AM-C), zirconia (AM-Z), nano-ceramic (SM-C), (SM-Z). Each group was further divided into PDA-treated untreated subgroups (n=40). Specimens cemented onto dies self-curing cement (Multilink N; Ivoclar Vivadent) subjected to five million chewing cycles with thermal cycling. Fracture assessed a load-to-failure test 3D surface analysis, respectively (n=20). Additionally, strength evaluated pull-out Data analyzed three-way ANOVA assess main interaction effects material, technique, PDA (α=.05). Significant material type, found for all outcomes (p<.001), along significant × interactions. notably improved fracture in AM-Z AM-C (p<.05), but had minimal effect groups. Wear significantly reduced following while SM-C showed slight increase (p=.021). Among groups, demonstrated weakest overall mechanical performance. enhanced materials, limited ceramics. Milled best performance, consistently performed worst. Polydopamine enhances performance by manufacturing, particularly improving resistance. This approach may clinical reliability 3D-printed restorations, especially thin, conservative designs.

Limited studies assess clinical key factors in the success of digitally fabricated complete dentures between additive and subtractive methods. This study aimed to compare 2 determinants success-retention patient satisfaction- using approaches. PubMed, Scopus, Web Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar were searched up August 2024. Records screened by title, abstract, full text against eligibility criteria. The standardized mean difference (SMD) was calculated data extracted from each included study. A random effects model pooled effect sizes, heterogeneity assessed with Cochran's Q test, I-squared, Tau-squared indices; publication bias evaluated Begg's funnel plot Egger while sensitivity analyses checked result robustness. risk RoB ROBINS-I tools. Of initial 1098 records, a total 4 articles deemed eligible. Although denture retention higher compared method, not statistically significant (SMD = 0.165 N, 95% CI [-0.176, 0.506], P .343, I² 58.72%). Similarly, satisfaction lower but this -0.595, [-1.579, 0.389], .236, 85.94%). Considering high small number studies, it can be cautiously concluded that there is no 3D printing milling
