Abstract The intestinal tract is the main place for animals to digest food and absorb nutrients, which also serves as first line of defense against pathogens that invade internal environment. Therefore, normal structure function are essential animal health. Poultry coccidiosis an disease primarily caused by parasitization epithelial cells protozoa genus Eimeria . occurrence not only compromises integrity poultry but increases their susceptibility, thus posing a serious threat overall health productivity poultry. Nowadays, primary methods controlling preventing in anticoccidial drugs or live oocyst vaccines. However, use former may be associated with problems resistance drug residues, while latter cause damage significantly increase farming costs. For these reasons, it critical investigate green, safe, cost‐effective natural alternative strategies such phytochemicals probiotics well mitigating deleterious effects coccidial infections production. In this review, we aim summarize role, mechanisms, therapeutic potential products treatment lay theoretical foundation effective control.

Off-season breeding is a method of encouraging animals through manual intervention to reproduce during the non-breeding season. The egg-laying period Zhedong white goose usually starts from September and ends in April following year. During summer months May August, with long daylight hours high temperatures, geese rest do not lay eggs. This study explored effects off-season on egg production performance, serum biochemical indicators, hormone secretion goose. experiment was divided into normal off-seasonal breeding. results suggested that peak laying lasted 3 months, 15.62% higher than control group group. had 4.13% fertilization rate November (laying period) group, hatching hatched eggs fertilized 2.77% 2.3% higher, respectively, experimental showed significantly P, ALB (albumin), TG (triglyceride), TC (total cholesterol) levels; AST (glutamic oxalacetic transaminase) activity; CREA (creatinine) BUN (blood urea nitrogen) levels at different time points. LH (luteinizing hormone), FSH (follicle-stimulating P4 (progesterone), E2 (estradiol) were T3 (triiodothyronine) T4 (Tetraiodothyronine) points cycle. gene expression GnRH (gonadotropin releasing hormone) hypothalamus; GnRH, FSH, pituitary; ovary lower VIP (vasoactine intestinal peptide) PRL (prolactin) pituitary Thus, may prolong improve thus enhancing economic benefits

This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with pomegranate peel powder (PP) on growth performance, serum biochemistry, antioxidant capacity, intestinal microbiota, and duodenal mucosal metabolites yellow-feathered broilers. A total 360 broilers were randomly divided into three groups, their diets supplemented different levels PP (0, 1, 4 g/kg) for 42 days. Dietary significantly increased average body weight daily gain during periods 1-21 22-42 days, while reducing feed conversion ratio (p < 0.05). It also decreased aspartate aminotransferase, alanine creatinine, uric acid, activities glutathione peroxidase superoxide dismutase, reduced malondialdehyde content in serum, liver, mucosa Furthermore, promoted mRNA expression farnesoid X receptor, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha, fatty acid-binding protein 4, epidermal factor/epidermal factor B-cell lymphoma 2, decreasing caspase-1 interleukin-1 beta Regarding metabolites, contents polyunsaturated acids (cis-11-eicosenoic cis-13,16-docosadienoic cis-11,14-eicosadienoic acid), prostaglandin E2/G2, secondary bile (apocholic, hyodeoxycholic, 7-ketodeoxycholic, omega-muricholic acids) In terms cecal β-diversity index 0.05), elevated relative abundances Bacteroidota, Alistipes, Bacilli, Actinobacteriota, Clostridia Gammaproteobacteria conclusion, can improve health performance by regulating composition gut microbiota.

The stress response of pig herds poses a significant challenge in the breeding industry, and investigating strategies to mitigate this is paramount importance. objective study was investigate impacts supplemental feeding Chinese herbal mixtures perinatal sows on antioxidant capacity gut microbiota their offspring piglets. A total 60 healthy (Large white) at fourth parity were randomly assigned five treatment groups. control group received basal diet, while TRT1 diet supplemented with 2kg/t Bazhen powder (BZP). TRT2, TRT3, TRT4 groups fed 1kg/t, 2kg/t, 3kg/t Qi-Zhu- Gui-Shao soothing liver replenishing blood (QZGSP), respectively. trial lasted for 5weeks, starting from day 100 gestation until 21 delivery. results demonstrated that inclusion QZGSP significantly enhanced piglets different degrees, thereby effectively alleviating oxidative stress. Analysis revealed influenced composition both Specifically, genus level, abundance

Tetrastigma hemsleyanum (TH) has attracted much attention for its heat clearing and detoxification effects, but whether it can become an effective feed supplement in chickens remains unclear. Herein, a total of 120 male Jinhua yellow (two-mth-old) were randomly divided into four groups (CON, TH-L, TH-M, TH-H) 56-day feeding trial to explore effects on growth performance underlying mechanism. Results revealed that dietary TH notably increased the average daily (ADG), decreased intake (ADFI) conversion ratio (FCR) TH-H group during 29-56 days. Meanwhile, improved development duodenum contents essential amino acids flavor acids, while serum oxidation stress index as well abdominal fat deposition not affected chickens. Additionally, supplementation gut microbiota richness, then selectively colonization potential probiotics microbial abundance associated acid synthesis metabolic pathways duodenum. Furthermore, qPCR analysis results preliminarily verified only enhanced intestinal (rBAT EAAT3) peptides (PepT1 APN) transport also alleviated inflammation (IL-1β, IL-6 IFN-γ), thus thereby These findings demonstrated is additive improve performance, muscle composition development.
