Abstract Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic joint disease characterized by degeneration of articular cartilage, with the underlying mechanism being inability chondrocytes to maintain homeostasis in response changing stress. The stress triggered excess ROS from various factors critical regulating chondrocyte survival and fate. In this study, 2D Mo 4/3 B 2‐ X MBene cerium‐gallic acid metal‐polyphenol network (MPN) together cartilage‐targeted shell hyaluronic WYRGRL (HW) are utilized development bio‐heterojunction MBene@MPN‐HW (MBM‐HW) through self‐assembly. MBM‐HW not only demonstrates superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) enzyme mimicking capabilities effectively scavenge ROS, but also exhibits dual‐responsive release cartilage‐targeting properties. Importantly, both vivo vitro experiments indicate that could alleviate oxidative stress, protect mitochondrial function, suppress cartilage matrix ferroptosis, thereby slowing progression OA. Mechanistically, it demonstrated attenuate Perk/eIF2α cascade mediated integrated restrain maintaining homeostasis. Overall, work underscores robust stress‐relieving capacity MBM‐HW, providing novel approach for treatment

Bee pollen (BP) is one of the richest known natural resources micronutrients and bioactive phytochemicals. Some captivating bioactivities BP compounds, although being largely investigated for latter as individual molecules, remain very scarcely or completely uninvestigated in bee a whole product. Among most intriguing these bioactivities, we identified ferroptosis major one. Ferroptosis, recently discovered form cell death (connecting oxidative stress inflammation), complex pathophysiological process crucial perplexing events current challenging human diseases such cancer, neurodegeneration, general aging diseases. Many compounds were found to intricately modulate depending on cellular context by inducing this mechanism malignant cells preventing it non-malignant cells. Since research both fields, i.e., ferroptosis, still recent, deemed necessary undertake review figure out extent potential modulating mechanisms. Our proved that wide range (polyphenols, phenolamides, carotenoids, vitamins, minerals, others) substantially diverse Accordingly, phytochemicals nutrients showed interesting preclinical studies lead ferroptosis-mediated outcomes important processes, including many aging-related disorders. One paramount challenges be resolved determine how different act biological contexts, either through synergistic antagonistic behaviors. We hope our work constitutes valuable incentive future investigations promising relevant avenue.

Alzheimer's disease (AD), which is caused by the accumulation of amyloid-beta, a major medical concern today. Controlling these aggregates critical to drug development, but delivering them effectively into bloodstream poses significant challenges. In this context, aromatherapy has been proposed as an innovative and promising approach for AD disease. The volatile compounds cinnamaldehyde, phenylethyl alcohol, α-asarone, β-caryophyllene have neuroprotective effects that can be effective in treatment neurodegenerative diseases like AD. amyloid-beta (Aβ) fragment (25–35), retains properties full-length Aβ used suitable model evaluate potential toxicity associated with This study investigated four mentioned at different concentrations on fibrillation process (25–35) peptide. Structural changes peptide analyzed using various techniques such fluorescence probing, far-UV circular dichroism spectroscopy (CD), atomic force microscopy (AFM). Fluorescence probing results showed prevent formation amyloid fibrils forming chemical bonds intermediate species. CD indicated decrease β-sheet content confirmed effect pH structural changes.
