Digital finance is playing an increasingly prominent role in economic development. This paper examines the impact of digital on industrial structure upgrading based panel data from 289 Chinese prefecture-level cities 2011 to 2020. The adopts fixed effects, mediating and spatial econometric models findings are as follows. First, development significantly boosts cities. evidence remains valid after various robustness tests. Second, exhibit positive spillover effects. Third, indirectly affects through innovation, entrepreneurship household consumption channels. Fourth, influence more significant with developed economies, less financialization lower income inequality. Finally, among sub-indicators finance, breadth coverage plays most role, inspiring policymakers financial institutions speed up digitization infrastructure backward areas.
