As the world continues to be a globalized society, there have been variations in environmental quality, but studies including trade globalization into policy framework remain inconclusive. Therefore, employing time series dataset of Uruguay over period between 1980 and 2018, main objective this current study is investigate effect globalization, natural resources rents, economic growth, financial development on carbon emissions. By bounds testing procedures combination with critical approximation p -values Kripfganz Schneider (2018), Autoregressive Distributed Lag estimator, spectral causality test achieve goal research. The outcomes confirm long-run connection emissions these determinants. Moreover, from outcome we observed that liberalization found exert CO 2 long short run. expansion imposes significant pressure quality environment abundance significantly increases deterioration Furthermore, uncover does not impact Uruguay. Finally, detected forecast exclusion development. Based outcome, suggests policies should tailored towards international must reassessed, restrictions placed exportation polluting-intensive commodities reinforced.

There have been variances in environmental quality as the globe continues to become a globalized society, however, research including trade globalization into policy framework remains inconclusive. Using Uruguayan time series dataset between 1990 and 2020, this study investigated impact of economic growth, natural resource rents, globalization, financial development on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, inquiry quantifies short- long-run dynamics. The results ARDL bounds test indicate long-term relationship emissions these variables. Additionally, short-and analyses demonstrated positive statistically significant effect Uruguay's CO2 However, both short-run coefficients are negative, indicating that has no deterioration Uruguay. Furthermore, by using Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS), Dynamic (DOLS), Canonical Cointegration Regression (CCR), findings were confirmed. Based study, it is recommended international regulations be reevaluated export limitations for goods with high levels pollution strengthened.

The energy access challenge remains a significant barrier to sustainable development, with millions of people still needing modern services. Fossil fuels have played crucial role in meeting electricity demand, but they face challenges and drawbacks terms environmental sustainability, security, climate change. This study examines how renewable non-renewable generation capacity impacted the environment 53 upper-middle-income countries from 1990 2020, using alternative sources as mediating variables. findings this provide valuable insights into complex relationship between capacity, access, sources, conditions countries. positive emphasizes importance potential mitigating degradation. Additionally, indicate that also plays shaping patterns, higher levels being associated increased decreased reliance on sources. These highlight urgent need for policies measures promote adoption prioritize mitigate degradation achieve development goals.
