Energy plays a crucial role in everyday life and thus is one of the most essential inputs all economic activities. Nowadays, EU energy market has changed mainly due to Russian invasion Ukraine. The countries had suddenly adapt new situation secure supply for their citizens. But even before that, issues been raised on global scale through United Nations’ 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development. One seventeen Development Goals (SDGs) SDG 7: Affordable clean energy. Therefore, this paper aims examine productivity as it should be at heart ongoing debate security across EU. This study uses two sources data: Eurostat OECD. first provides users with composite indicator productivity, which results from division GDP by gross available (primary production + recovered & recycled products imports – exports stock changes) given calendar year. latter delivers an measured per unit total supply. applies β-convergence model investigate disparities between see if they are widening or narrowing over time. show that although there significant initial disparities, have converging time; however, speed process not satisfyingly fast.
