The study investigates the relationship between technological innovation, clean energy, trade openness, and natural resource rents on environmental sustainability within BRICS + T nations. Motivated by urgent need to address escalating CO2 emissions—reaching 36.4 billion metric tons in 2022—the research aims understand how these factors influence emissions, ecological footprint, load capacity factor, its inverse, contributing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). uses panel data from countries spanning period 1990 2022. Employing advanced econometric techniques such as Dynamic Seemingly Unrelated Regression (DSUR), Cross-Sectionally Augmented Panel Unit Root (CUP-FM, CUP-BC), nonlinear autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) models, tests Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis evaluates asymmetric effects of variables. Key findings indicate that innovation consistently reduces emissions footprints, reinforcing role promoting through cleaner technologies more efficient industrial processes. Clean energy adoption has also been shown be a significant driver reducing degradation, with consistent negative while improving factor. However, openness exhibits dual effect. While it enhances use efficiency, simultaneously increases likely due heightened activity. Natural display mixed results: some cases, they exacerbate others, contribute funding eco-friendly initiatives. recommends nations prioritize investments green technologies, strengthen regulations, enhance international collaboration accelerate transition renewable energy. Policymakers should balance benefits stricter standards mitigate adverse sustainability. These integrated strategies are essential for achieving targets outlined SDGs.

Research Originality: This study provides a new perspective on the dynamics between foreign direct investment (FDI), idiosyncratic risk, and economic growth in ASEAN countries using structural equation modeling (SEM). It contributes to literature by highlighting nuanced role of risk shaping regional outcomes.Research Objectives: The aims examine indirect impacts FDI inflows, sectoral variables (manufacturing, agriculture, services) from 2013 2023.Research Methods: uses data Statistical Database applies SEM estimate relationships these variables.Empirical Result: main findings indicate that inflows have minimal impact as evidenced regression coefficients below 0.001 for inward intra-ASEAN FDI. In contrast, significantly growth. results also reveal such manufacturing, services exhibit weaker associations with growth.Implications: information suggests policymakers should focus exploiting improve development, while acknowledging limited management, thereby debating more appropriate strategies promote sustainable growthJEL Classification: A11, E60, H11

This study examines the interaction between foreign direct investment (FDI), idiosyncratic risk, sectoral GDP, economic activity, and growth in ASEAN countries using structural equation modeling (SEM) performed AMOS software. The analysis uses data from Statistics Database 2023 to distinguish significant indirect impacts of FDI on risks, activity aggregate can. ASEAN, which includes ten Southeast Asian countries, has experienced rapid increasing integration recent decades, making it an interesting area these relationships. covers a comprehensive period capture trends differences among member states. Applying SEM with allows detailed examination complex relationships important variables. results show clear link inflows, industry GDP performance, overall growth. More specifically, inflows have notable influence then impact by sector, level ultimately contribute trends. economy more broadly countries. These findings highlight importance understanding effectively managing dynamics various indicators promote sustainable development across ASEAN. information can inform policymakers, investors, stakeholders developing targeted strategies policies that maximize benefits while minimizing related risks strong inclusive region. highlights multifaceted context, emphasizing need for strategic interventions policy frameworks exploit potential directed at Sustainable Development Goals long-term prosperity
