Pakistan is home to many natural and artificial bodies of water, which are inevitable for agriculture, domestic use, recreation, etc. In the arid, semi-arid, wet areas land, distribution, spatio-temporal variations, impacts on water dynamics climate anthropogenic drivers were studied. this study, we used Landsat, 5, 7, 8 satellite images generate annual seasonal frequency maps per pixel 1985–2020 period. The analysis findings have shown substantial inter-and intra-annual variability in rainfall temperature. addition, results revealed significant zonal disparities patterns, with arid zone displaying most drastic variations. We found out that area (2530.42 km2) occupied by bodies, 1322.24 km2 (52.25%) 1208.18 (47.75%) permanent zones. There a dramatic decline rate 1.02 ± 1.84 km2/year contrast (0.97 1.99 km2/year), total inland has increased. During July August, Punjab highest (1822.30 declines lowest (523.20 October December February May when (708.12 greater than water. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) positively related surface areas, while temperature was inversely related. outcome our research offers valuable insights into future supply context such change activities.

To address the resource and environmental challenges posed by rapid urbanization, China has devised executed strategy of new-type urbanization (NU). This study aims to discuss effects NU on pressure in view water-energy-food (WEF) system. Taking 30 provinces from 2006 2020 as samples, this paper firstly establishes a comprehensive evaluation indicator system population, economic, spatial, social eco-environmental dimensions, assesses level using entropy weight method. Secondly, uses gray water footprint measurement indicator, innovatively integrating quality into WEF for assessing (WEFSP). Finally, impact WEFSP is explored based panel fixed model. The findings revealed: (1) There an inverted "U-shaped" relationship between WEFSP, China's current exceeded Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) threshold. (2) exhibits significant regional heterogeneity, with eastern region. (3) consistently exacerbates stress when considered, indicating that sustainable urban management practices are essential. (4) subdimensions indicate population important factors exacerbate while economic spatial reduce WEFSP. research results help clarify provide reference timely adjustment optimization policies achieve effective development.

As an important part “Loss Plateau-Sichuan-Yunnan Ecological Barrier” “Northern Sand Control Belt” in national strategic pattern, there urgent need to ESPs on Loess Plateau. Based a remote sensing dataset, this identified at different spatial scales, analyzed similarities differences sources, corridors, key points, so as better inform development implantation macro micro strategies.
