Pakistan is home to many natural and artificial bodies of water, which are inevitable for agriculture, domestic use, recreation, etc. In the arid, semi-arid, wet areas land, distribution, spatio-temporal variations, impacts on water dynamics climate anthropogenic drivers were studied. this study, we used Landsat, 5, 7, 8 satellite images generate annual seasonal frequency maps per pixel 1985–2020 period. The analysis findings have shown substantial inter-and intra-annual variability in rainfall temperature. addition, results revealed significant zonal disparities patterns, with arid zone displaying most drastic variations. We found out that area (2530.42 km2) occupied by bodies, 1322.24 km2 (52.25%) 1208.18 (47.75%) permanent zones. There a dramatic decline rate 1.02 ± 1.84 km2/year contrast (0.97 1.99 km2/year), total inland has increased. During July August, Punjab highest (1822.30 declines lowest (523.20 October December February May when (708.12 greater than water. Gross Domestic Product (GDP) positively related surface areas, while temperature was inversely related. outcome our research offers valuable insights into future supply context such change activities.

To address the resource and environmental challenges posed by rapid urbanization, China has devised executed strategy of new-type urbanization (NU). This study aims to discuss effects NU on pressure in view water-energy-food (WEF) system. Taking 30 provinces from 2006 2020 as samples, this paper firstly establishes a comprehensive evaluation indicator system population, economic, spatial, social eco-environmental dimensions, assesses level using entropy weight method. Secondly, uses gray water footprint measurement indicator, innovatively integrating quality into WEF for assessing (WEFSP). Finally, impact WEFSP is explored based panel fixed model. The findings revealed: (1) There an inverted "U-shaped" relationship between WEFSP, China's current exceeded Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) threshold. (2) exhibits significant regional heterogeneity, with eastern region. (3) consistently exacerbates stress when considered, indicating that sustainable urban management practices are essential. (4) subdimensions indicate population important factors exacerbate while economic spatial reduce WEFSP. research results help clarify provide reference timely adjustment optimization policies achieve effective development.

The study of ecological security patterns (ESPs) is great significance for improving the value ecosystem services and promoting both protection high-quality socio-economic development. As an important part “Loss Plateau-Sichuan-Yunnan Ecological Barrier” “Northern Sand Control Belt” in national strategic pattern, there urgent need to ESPs on Loess Plateau. Based a remote sensing dataset, this identified at different spatial scales, analyzed similarities differences sources, corridors, key points, so as better inform development implantation macro micro strategies. When taken whole unit, we 58 sources (areas with higher levels services) Plateau (total area 57,948.48 km2), along 134 corridors length 14,094.32 km), 1325 pinch points 315.01 2406 barrier 382.50 km2). splits into ecoregions, 108 67,892.51 226 13,403.49 2801 851.07 km2, 3657 800.70 Human activities land use types are main factors influencing number distribution points. constructed scales broadly similar, but significant among details were identified. such, when formulating restoration strategies, scale should be considered. Moreover, specific programs determined based ESP characteristics maximize biodiversity integrity from multiple perspectives directions.

In the 21st Century, disasters have severe negative impacts on cities worldwide. Given significant casualties and property damage caused by disasters, it is necessary for disaster management organizations public to enhance urban management. As an effective method, BIM (Building Information Modeling)–GIS (Geographic System) integration can significantly improve Despite significance of BIM–GIS integration, there rarely adoption in management, which hinders development quality efficiency To reduce impact this study developed perform a systematic review utilization Through review, capabilities prevention mitigation, response, post-disaster recovery are reviewed analyzed. Moreover, data acquisition approaches, interoperability, analysis methods, future directions integrated process also discussed study, managers effectively familiarize themselves with utilize thereby improving survival rate victims For GIS software developers, support them methods trends thus optimize GIS.
