The urgency of environmental sustainability is undeniable; global communities face intensifying challenges due to anthropogenic degradation. Addressing resource depletion and pollution needs urgent effective solutions. This study investigates practices in Compostela, Cebu. It explores how barangay official representatives perceive identify potential areas for improvement. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used analyze the data prioritize factors influencing sustainability. findings highlight importance energy efficiency conservation as primary focus achieving Compostela. Upgrading energy-efficient equipment emerges most impactful alternative within this category. Promoting stewardship through waste reduction another crucial factor. While renewable adaptation sustainable transportation are also important considerations, they seen having a slightly lower overall impact. research provides valuable insights officials policymakers Cebu, develop strategies. This article propose the basic structure of laser power converters (LPCs) on basis intermediate-band solar cells (IB-SCs) assisted by quantum ratchet (QR) mechanism. The LPCs convert efficiently both high-power and low-cost light 800−1000 nm in wavelength eye-safe ∼1500 to electricity. Furthermore, operate as highly efficient SCs. Thus, proposed dual-wavelength (DW) fulfill functions required for used optical wireless transmission driving electric vehicles; solar-cell function charges secondary batteries anywhere during daytime. I designed electronic band structures DW-LPCs calculated limiting conversion efficiencies, revealing that equipped with QRs potentially yield high efficiencies each competitive those conventional single-function devices dedicated. However, new IB materials must be developed realize efficiency, because are significantly different from previously reported IB-SC materials.
