Despite their numerous excellent properties, metal sulfides are not particularly efficient at converting energy and purifying the environment, which limits further applications. Fortunately, conversion environmental purification efficiencies of these materials have experienced notable advancements in recent years, accompanied by an improved understanding underlying mechanisms. Herein, progress experimental researches years on engineering single component controlling morphology, construction heterojunctions, incorporating elements is reviewed. Methods to design prepare sulfide‐based composites building binary or ternary heterojunctions sulfide/semiconductor/conductor also discussed detail. These used systems, where they act as photocatalytic only split water, reduce carbon dioxide nitrogen, but degrade pollutants (organic inorganic) water gas. Finally, it concluded summarizing research frontiers sulfide nanomaterials applications, well proposing potential challenges future directions. This work may contribute a better nanocomposites provide clues for fabrication more nanostructures clean production remediation.
