The processing of beans begins with a particularly time-consuming procedure, the hydration seeds. Ultrasonic treatment (US) represents potential environmentally friendly method for process acceleration, while near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR) is proposedly suitable non-invasive monitoring tool to assess compositional changes. Our aim was examine red kidney varying sizes and origins. Despite surface areas, beans’ soaking times 13–15, 15–17, 17–19 mm did not reveal significant differences between any groups (control; low power: 180 W, 20 kHz; high 300 40 kHz). US observed result in release greater quantities water-soluble components from beans. This evidenced by darkening water’s color, increase a* color parameter, rise dry matter value. NIRs, combination chemometric tools, are an effective predicting characteristics bean-soaking water. PLSR- SVR-based modelling content light parameters demonstrated robust model fits cross test set-validated R2 values (>0.95), suggesting that these techniques can effectively capture chemical information samples.

Variable selection in the context of regression problems can be considered as an optimization process. However, such data-driven methods may ignore physically relevant variables or feature structures, which exploited to enhance robustness and interpretability variable results. In this paper, we propose a knowledge-informed spectral hierarchical-clustering optimal interval combination (HCIC) strategy capture exploit underlying correlations among spectra wavelengths. first step, (SVHC) is employed determine correlation between adjacent then generate number non-uniform intervals. These intervals are designed distinguish patterns structural regions arising from infrared-light chemical bonds reactions, enabling exploitation characteristics. subsequent bayesian linear based (BLR-OIC) introduced with weighted bootstrap sampling (WBS) search for most effective solutions. This aims emulate synergy effect functional bands group functions data. We conduct extensive experiments on public available private databases various techniques verify efficacy proposed algorithm. The results not only manifest improved prediction performance compared benchmark but also demonstrate consistent

Codonopsis root, a traditional Chinese medicine, produces saccharides that serve as key indicators for assessing its quality. In this study, we employ near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy to predict total polysaccharide concentration well the major individual of intact (surface and cross-section) ground samples roots. We developed regression relationships between spectra fructose, glucose polysaccharides set (Rp2 > 0.8, RPD>2.0) based on partial least squares (PLSR) model. However, cross-section set, only dominant component could be quantitatively detected RPD>2.0). All models surface were unacceptable performance. This discrepancy attributed low levels different distinct chemical profiles reflected by sets from with varying homogeneity. The findings provide an approach efficient sustainable analysis purposes quality control standardization

The pH value is an important indicator for determining water quality, and visible near-infrared (Vis-NIR) spectroscopy ideal technique rapid detection. Vis-NIR spectrum of greatly affected by temperature. When using to detect the water, temperature interference will affect prediction accuracy value. In this study, several chemometric methods developed in recent years were used correct spectra distilled samples under improve values. Specifically, includes external parameter orthogonalization (EPO) algorithm generalized least square weighting (GLSW) algorithm. Spectra at different temperatures 400–1049 nm range collected, correction effects EPO GLSW on after changes, as well errors values, tested examined, compared with traditional full-temperature spectral models. results show that both require only a small number representative obtain filtering matrices. By correcting all reference level, good can be achieved. Additionally, values models corrected better than method, complexity also reduced.
