Emamectin benzoate (EB) is a highly effective broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide. However, because EB easily degraded, the conventional formulations of are often overapplied. In this study, polylactic acid (PLA)-based microspheres were prepared using modified solvent evaporation method for controlled release EB. The optimized to achieve higher loading. effects process parameters on properties microspheres, including encapsulation efficiency (EE), particle size, pesticide loading, investigated. Additionally, behavior was compared with that emulsifiable concentrate (EC). Spherical-shaped obtained an EE reaching 90.63 ± 1.90%, introducing external aqueous phase into system can significantly enhance by over 30%. FTIR, DSC, XRD analyses indicate preparation PLA mainly physical had no chemical effect Notably, displayed more potent control efficacy commercial formulation EC against Plutella xylostella. corrected mortality reached 90.00 5.77% after 21 days application, whereas only 19.23 6.66% 14 application. Our study demonstrates EB-encapsulated have strong potential as environmentally friendly formulations.

Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is a class of detoxifying enzymes in the second stage insect metabolism and plays key role insecticide resistance. In this study, based on transcriptome sequences S. frugiperda, full-length cDNA SfGSTD1 was cloned characterized. The temporal spatial expression pattern showed that highly expressed Malpighian tubules, which are excretion organs. Knocking down reduced frugiperd tolerance to abamectin beta-cypermethrin. overexpression enhanced viability Sf9 cell under beta-cypermethrin treatment. Furthermore, overexpressed Drosophila melanogaster using GAL4/UAS binary system, strain also less susceptible enzyme activity recombinant could be significantly inhibited by Taken together, our findings indicate might involved frugiperda. And these results provide theoretical foundations for understanding resistance mechanism frugiperda

Abstract Plants with constitutive defense chemicals exist widely in nature. The phenomenon is backed by abundant data from plant chemical ecology. Sufficient are also available to conclude that defenses act as deterrent and repellent attacking herbivores, particularly deleterious generalist insects. In the wild, species usually not endemic, meaning they restricted certain a region. Therefore, our objective inspect theoretically whether evolution of all eradicate an endemic any species. addressed developing deterministic ordinary differential equations under following conditions: without susceptible oviposition insects, while become defended against generalists storing defenses. From models, we explicitly obtain generalist-free stable state only possible if vast majority individuals have model allows one predict highest percentage undefended individuals, which may be considered free-riders.
