The screening of heavy metals in food additives is important for public health due to their probable critical effects, induced by excessive intakes, and difficulties tracing matrix. This study aimed assess the applicability microwave (MW)-based digestion inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) quantification additives. MW-assisted diluted acid (1550 W at 220°C, 0.79 mol/L HNO3 solution) was applied as a pretreatment ICP-MS used 19 different concentrations, up 20 ng/g. optimized protocol validated spiking glycerin 18 method linear 14 (R2> 0.990). For 11 metals, both intra- inter-day accuracies were estimated 88.5%−123.7%, with precisions less than 5.5% 4.9%, respectively, contents discussed. findings this work provide an alternative analytical regulatory compliance quality control industries.

Here, we report an optimization of the extraction crystal violet and congo red dyes from shrimp samples, employing matrix solid phase dispersion improved multivariate optimization. Three factors were evaluated: (i) adsorbent nature (neutral alumina, silica gel C18); (ii) eluent strength (dimethylformamide, methanol acetonitrile); (iii) sample-adsorbent ratio (1:1; 1:5; 1:10, m/m). Successful was achieved using dimethylformamide as eluent, neutral alumina sample:adsorbent 1:5 (m/m). Adsorption kinetic studies suggest strong interaction between dye adsorbent. Furthermore, digital image colorimetric detection, study observed limit detection (LOD) ranging 3.8 to 29.8 µg L−1 quantification (LOQ) 12.3 90.3 with R2 > 0.9927 for both dyes, CV CR, respectively. Notably, recovery greater than 86% a relative standard deviation (RSD) inferior 7% (n=3). These findings indicate effectiveness technique in conjunction solid-phase successful showing its potential accurate sensitive similar analyses. The proposed method compared gold (UV/Vis spectroscopy) statistical treatment showed that results methods are comparable.
