Oxyfluorfen, a diphenyl ether herbicide, is commonly used to control annual broad-leaved and grass weeds across various agricultural fields. Given its persistence, biotoxicity, negative impacts on ecological systems, the degradation of oxyfluorfen has garnered significant attention. In this study, strain Micrococcus sp. F3Y, capable completely degrading 80 mg/L in mineral medium supplemented with 2.5 mM fructose within 72 hours, was isolated. The transformation process involves series reactions, including nitro reduction, N-acetylation, diaryl cleavage, hydroxyl oxidation, oxidation aromatic ring cleavage. Within these initial step might be either nitroreduction, which mitigates toxicity cells, or bond provides necessary intermediate products for cell growth. Subsequently, multi-pathway synergistic network consisting two major four branch pathways proposed. potential F3Y soil remediation explored, followed by an analysis microbial diversity. findings indicated that could remove 80.24% 50 mg/kg 15 days, abundance dominant phylum Proteobacteria, had decreased due oxyfluorfen, restorated. summary, study offers valuable resources bioremediation oxyfluorfen-contaminated soils.

Oxyfluorfen (OXY) is widely used in agriculture as a herbicide, resulting its continuous accumulation the environment. The presence of OXY can be detected soil and rivers. However, until now, potential toxicity to aquatic organisms has not been evaluated. In this study, zebrafish was model animal evaluate OXY-induced liver toxicity. study found that 0.25, 0.5, 1 mg/L affected early development severely damaged lipid sugar metabolism larvae. Furthermore, metabolic function disorder caused damage. also inflammation by upregulating inflammatory factors IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, activated apoptotic pathway inhibit hepatocyte proliferation, Our research showed had certain toxic effects on could cause harm other humans.

Understanding trends in the diverse resources provided by large rivers will help balance tradeoffs among stakeholders and inform strategies to mitigate effects of landscape scale stressors such as climate change invasive species. Absent a cohesive coordinated effort assess important river resources, logical starting point is our ability draw inferences from existing efforts. In this paper, we use common analytical framework analyze data five disparate fish monitoring programs better understand nature spatial temporal assemblages. We evaluated that monitor fishes Colorado, Columbia, Illinois, Mississippi, Tallapoosa using non-metric dimensional scaling ordinations associated tests evaluate assemblage structure native biodiversity. Our results indicate assemblages exhibited significant all rivers. also document species diversity were variable within between generally more evident with higher richness longer duration. discuss shared basin-specific level stressors. Having basic understanding extent necessary first step towards factors affecting biodiversity fisheries
