The overcoming of the issues on energy crisis and inequality have become priorities as far developing developed countries are concerned. Moreover, has increased due to shortage natural gas rising prices in retaliation economic recovery affected by COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims verify linkage between growth renewable consumption country’s advancement. In this context, paper determines main driving forces European during 2000–2018. annual data for panel regression analysis retrieved from OECD. Stat World Bank Open Data. empirical employed a set estimation procedures such unit root test (Levin, Lin & Chu; Im, Pesaran, Shin W-Stat; ADF-Fisher Chi-square; PP-Fisher Chi-square methods), Pearson correlation, fixed- random-effects models, generalized method moments (GMM), Hausman robustness tests. results ratified that fixed-effects model is more suitable involved balanced data. GMM identified statistically significant positive relationship share total final consumption, GDP per capita, CO2 emissions capita overall sample. turn, labor force, gross capital formation, production-based intensity inversely related consumption. effects could provide some insights policymakers improve sector towards gaining sustainable development.
