Ecological thresholds are a useful indicator for implementing ecological management. Many studies determine the nutrient loads in lakes based on maximum allowable concentration of chlorophyll (Chla), although this neglects overall performance ecosystem. A PCLake model Baiyangdian (BYD) Lake northern China was constructed with six network analysis (ENA) indicators that characterized ecosystem function, system maturity, and food web structure to quantify status BYD To my knowledge, is first study level responses phosphorus load interference. Different scenarios were designed simulate Lake. The simulated results employed calculate ENA indicators. determined through driving response relationship between gradient show non-linear transition under gradient. As increases, D/H, SOI, FCI decreases while A/DC, TPP/TR, TPP/TB increases. This indicates function will deteriorate if 0.50-1.32 mg m

Abstract Depletion of dissolved oxygen (DO) is a major cause fish kills in urban streams. Although forecasting short‐term DO concentrations streams prior to hypoxic events necessary, such efforts have been rarely made. In this study, 24‐h models were developed for three South Korea. To forecast the at outlet sites, which coincide with kill hot spot areas, water quality parameters lower reaches and hydrometeorological used as input variables. The monitoring data measured hourly between 2017 2018 divided into training test sets ratio 8:2. Tenfold cross validation was performed hyperparameter optimization. Due dynamic characteristics discontinuity time‐series data, long memory (LSTM) neural network modeling approach selected. Overall, high degree accuracy recorded all study accuracy, timing magnitude abrupt depletion well captured. Water temperature cumulative precipitation important variables stream outlets. particular, importance across indicated that effects nonpoint sources critical depleting Monitoring both outlets conjunction variable analysis enhanced interpretability LSTM model outputs. This improves our understanding precursors
