Coordination
of
the
Water-Land-Food
(WLF)
system
is
an
essential
guarantee
for
ecologically
sustainable
food
production.
Based
on
perspective
symbiosis
theory,
we
explore
practical
strategies
enhancing
WLF
coordination
in
China.
We
applied
Entropy
TOPSIS
method
to
measure
first
step,
used
global-Malmquist-Luenberger
(GML)
index
calculate
eco-efficiency
production
second
step
and
panel
Tobit
model
empirically
improvement
path
test
moderating
role
environmental
regulation
third
step.
Our
research
has
led
following
five
conclusions:
(i)
From
2003
2019,
level
all
regions
China
showed
a
decreasing
trend
followed
by
increasing
trend,
with
highest
Northeast
(0.380);
The
upward
general,
middle
lower
reaches
Yangtze
River
(2.101)
northeastern
region
(1.888)
at
higher
nationwide.
(ii)
northern
major
grain
producing
areas
effectively
promoted
coordination,
these
promotions
have
time
lag.
And
impact
southern
non-major

significant.

Exploring
the
interaction
between
water,
land,

food
(WLF)

upward
