Estrogens and estrogenic chemicals are endocrine-disrupting (EDCs). The potential toxicity of EDCs to humans aquatic organisms has become increasingly concerning. However, at present, the toxic mechanisms on neural vascular development still being fully investigated. During study, we utilized zebrafish assess developmental different estrogens. results indicated that treated with estrogens, especially E2, exhibit malformations, including increased mortality, decreased body length, heart rate, aberrant swimming behavior, spinal curvature (SC), yolk edema (YE) pericaidial (PE), in a dose-dependent manner 72 h-treated. Further morphological evaluation revealed E2 exposure significantly induced motor abnormalities embryos. In addition, these three estrogens also impaired early stage Mechanistically, identification downstream factors several key development-related genes, syn2a, gfap, gap43, shha, kdr, flt1 flt4, were transcriptionally downregulated after estrogen zebrafish, suggesting might cause by interfering mRNA levels genes relevant development.
