ABSTRACT The use of ultraviolet (UV‐C) disinfection robots has become increasingly popular in diverse settings, including hospitals, schools, public transportation, and high‐traffic areas, especially following the COVID‐19 pandemic. These offer potential to enhance efficiency reduce human exposure microorganisms. However, application UV‐C light for is not without challenges. challenges include need precise environmental mapping, accurate dose delivery, mitigation safety risks associated with humans animals. This systematic review aims examine current development robots, identify key technological challenges, explore methods used ensure effective safe disinfection. An automated search was conducted Scopus, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, SpringerLink studies published up July 2023, followed by snowballing gather additional relevant works. A total 96 were reviewed. majority these either did address correct UVGI or lacked appropriate delivery. Additionally, positioning lamps often done subjectively, most incorporate any measures prevent accidents related exposure. Based on this analysis, a new classification proposed, highlighting advancements readiness levels. Despite progress made field, significant remain developing that deliver doses while ensuring operational efficiency. emphasizes further research gaps, particularly concerning navigation algorithms, accuracy, measures.

This paper aims to review the engineering controls for indoor air quality (IAQ) from a systems design perspective. As result of review, we classify literature content into three categories: (1) treatments, (2) dissemination control strategies, and (3) information technology. Indoor treatments can be generally interpreted as “cleaning” aspect, which covers ventilation contaminant removal techniques. Dissemination focuses on how contaminants generated in an space transmitted, where four types are classified. The category technology discusses IAQ sensors monitoring, well applications Internet Things data. Then, further analyze reviewed by performing functional analysis. Along with discussion functions, suggest some techniques, such decoupling flexibility/resilience, expected promote more thinking designing solutions.

Ultraviolet radiation (UVR) exposure is commonly reported as a risk factor for Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). However, minimal evaluation of photo-induced SJS/TEN has been conducted. Thus, this review identifies all cases that are linked to an acute UVR outlines the unifying characteristics these cases. Furthermore, theoretical pathogenesis, differential diagnoses, proposed diagnostic criteria defined.PubMed, Google Scholar, other databases websites were searched from inception September 2021 identify studies met inclusion criteria. The following keywords utilized: "Stevens-Johnson syndrome" "toxic necrolysis" with "ultraviolet," "photodistributed," "photo-induced," "photosensitivity," "photo." One reviewer assessed study characteristics, confirmation by second. bias was independently another.Thirteen patient identified, reporting ultraviolet prior rash onset underlying causal drug. Case classifications included 7/13 SJS 6/13 TEN. All described photodistributed (delay 1-3 days) 10 provided evidence lacked linear demarcation (as in sunburn) satellite target-like lesions. No flu-like prodrome.Mucositis, palmar plantar rash, positive Nikolsky sign, prolonged disease course can help distinguish photosensitive reactions, while negative direct immunofluorescence test important disorders.Physicians should be aware may precipitate patients taking susceptible drugs. After 24-h delay exposure, non-distinct, appears no prodrome progresses at least 48 h include vesiculobullous eruptions mucous membrane involvement. Photodistributed photo-drug-induced unique presentation recognized distinct diagnosis.

The nature in which the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic started and spread all over world has surprised shocked experts general population alike. This brought out a worldwide desire serious efforts to prevent, or at least reduce, severity of another airborne viral infection protect individuals gathering for various reasons. Toward this main purpose, novel method disinfect air, using graded, predictable, safe, reliable dosage ultraviolet C (UVC), with specially designed devices, is described here. Individuals exclusively breathing disinfected air can prevent infection, thus destroying virus any other pathogens outside human body acute chronic damage organs provide sense security congregate, use public transport, be protected long-term healthcare facilities. study involved designing testing unit one UVC chamber six chambers both enclosed UVC-opaque housings that could used destroy pathogens.
