Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) and Tenebrio molitor (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) are two prominent pests of maize its stored grains, respectively. Botanical pesticides have been proposed as an alternative for their management. This study evaluated the insecticidal activity Salvia connivens (Lamiaceae) methanolic extract rosmarinic acid against S. T. by adding them to artificial diet, well ecotoxicological effects on Poecilia reticulata (Cyprinodontiformes: Poeciliidae) Danio rerio (Cypriniformes: Danionidae) through acute toxicity tests. The showed higher mortality (LC50 = 874.28 ppm) than 1856.94 was non-toxic fish. Rosmarinic acid, most abundant compound in (80.45 mg g-1), 176.81 ppm). did not cause a toxic effect adult P. at tested concentrations.
