Meteorological drought serves as the precursor to hydrological drought. Clarifying propagation characteristics from meteorological is crucial for predicting and mitigating this severe natural disaster. In study, we proposed an assessment framework that integrates both linear nonlinear methods characterize transition in terms of response time, effective transformation rate, threshold. Utilizing ERA5 land reanalysis data (1951–2022) focusing on Hanjiang River Basin China, analyzed features with without inter-basin water diversion. Extracted event pairs indicate a more significant does not necessarily result drought, vice versa, which confirms The times derived using method are, average, two months shorter than those method. Inter-basin diversion will weaken correlation while strengthening correlation. When annual exceeds 12.0 billion m3, time experience sudden reduction. This research provides scientific reference basin-scale resource management mitigation practice.

Abstract The Mediterranean basin is particularly prone to climate change and vulnerable its impacts. One of the most relevant consequences change, especially for southern regions, certainly water scarcity as result a reduction surface runoff groundwater levels. Despite progress achieved in recent years field impact on resources, results outcomes should be treated with due caution since any future projection derived implications are inevitably affected by certain degree uncertainty arising from each different stage entire modeling chain. This work offers comprehensive overview works basin, mainly focusing last ten research. Past trends components hydrological balance discussed companion paper (Noto et al. 2022), while present focuses problem availability scarcity. In addition, aims discuss sources related aim gain awareness studies interpretation reliability.

Abstract The rapid and green energy transition is essential to deal with the fast‐growing needs in both public industrial sectors. This has paved way integrate distributed renewable resources () such as solar, hydro, wind, geothermal into power grid (). Wind solar are free, zero‐carbon emission, everlasting sources that contribute 5% 7% of global electricity generation, respectively. Therefore, fast, secure, reliable integration these critical achieve instant demands. Smart due inherited characteristics intelligent sensing, computing, communication technologies can effectively . Strigolactones (SLs) are a comparatively novel class of phytohormones that involved in the maintenance plant architecture with key regulation lateral branching. They also reported to play an important role regulating responses various abiotic stresses. The potential SLs improve crop resilience and productivity needs be effectively translated into agriculture. Therefore, both endogenous biosynthesis their exogenous application need thoroughly investigated understand exploit mechanism underlying alleviation stress responses. Although several reviews have emphasised plants under stress, upon has been less explored. Accordingly, this review, although we briefly discussed beneficial effects production different sections, our main focus is summarise influence on growth development species grown stresses, including drought, nutrient, heavy metal, salinity stress. Apart from providing overview transcriptomic studies conducted observe alleviating responses, research gaps field were discussed. review provides insight for researchers conduct further fill gap so they can used sustainable
