Arsenic (As), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and mercury (Hg) have been recognized as most toxic heavy metals that are continuously released into the environment, both from natural sources anthropogenic production of fertilizers, industrial activities, waste disposal. Therefore, As, Cd, Hg, Pb found in increasing concentrations bodies water, fodder, feed, tissues livestock, including poultry, surroundings areas, leading to metabolic, structural, functional abnormalities various organs all animals. Histopathological changes occurring reflected their negative impact on enzyme activity serum biochemical parameters. Metal toxicity is determined by route exposure, length absorbed dosage, whether chronic acute. This review presents discussion poultry associated histopathological different

Background: Previous studies have explored the relationship between serum lead levels and risk of female breast cancer (FBC). However, it is still uncertain whether urinary are associated with FBC. This study aimed to investigate potential association Methods: A cross-sectional case-control was conducted using National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), which a series cross-sectional, nationally representative surveys United States population consisting 10 survey waves from 1999 2018. analyzed total 2795 participants (≥20 years), 210 FBC 2585 healthy controls. Urinary detected Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry, divided into four by quartiles-defining cut points. Multivariate logistic regression used analyze Results: revealed that positively correlated (Odds ratio [OR], 2.16; 95% confidence interval [CI]: [1.18, 3.95], p < 0.05) in fully adjusted model. There were significantly increased ORs quartile 4 (Q4) 3 (Q3), compared lowest 1 (Q1) (Q4, OR = 1.48, CI [0.89, 2.48]; Q3: 1.01, [0.59, 1.73], p for trend 0.021). No significant interaction effects observed subgroups (age, race, educational status, body mass index (BMI), marital family income poverty ratio, hypertension diabetes renal function smoking history, ever been pregnant, oral contraceptive use, occupation classification, etc.) (All p-value > 0.05). Conclusions: likely US population.

Exposure to heavy metals is a public health concern worldwide. Previous studies on the association between metal exposure and neurobehavioral functions in children have focused single exposures clinical manifestations. However, present study evaluated effects of complex subclinical function using Korean Computerized Neurobehavior Test (KCNT).Urinary mercury, lead, cadmium analyses as well symbol digit substitution (SDS) choice reaction time (CRT) tests KCNT were conducted aged 10 12 years. Reaction urinary levels analyzed partial correlation, linear regression, Bayesian kernel machine regression (BKMR), weighted quantile sum (WQS) G-computation analysis.Participants 203 SDS 198 CRT analyzed, excluding poor cooperation inappropriate urine sample. Partial correlation analysis revealed no individual metals. The result multiple shows significant positive CRT. BMKR, WQS showed statistically concentrations, especially lead time.Assuming exposures, concentrations with These results suggest that during childhood should be managed strictly.

Respiratory exposure to heavy metals is an important health risk factor; however, the impact of co-exposure multiple on internal and remains unclear. Here, we evaluated relationship between nine (K, Ca, Fe, Cr, Mn, Zn, Pb, Se, Hg) in PM2.5, PM0.25, urinary with biomarkers, i.e., 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), interleukin-8 (IL-8), C-reactive protein (CRP), rural housewives Yuncheng City, northern China. K, Hg were primarily present PM0.25. Se showed higher concentrations indicating that these elements mainly existed coarser fraction PM2.5. The correlation two particle sizes was decent, but only K PM2.5 PM0.25 significantly correlated their respective urine. Most urine negatively biomarkers representing inflammation oxidative stress. Based Bayesian kernel machine regression mixed effect model, found VEGF, Cr having highest posterior inclusion probability, which may be due synergistic metals. We recommend minimizing use solid fuels at home regularly replacing utensils, can have a certain reducing This study offers theoretical foundation practical case for quantitatively assessing effects particulate matter-bound human during combustion households.

Biological characteristics of pregnant women during early pregnancy make them susceptible to both poor sleep quality and metal/metalloid exposure. However, the effects metal(loid) exposure on in remain unknown unexplored. We aimed examine relationship between a mixture metal(loid)s women's pregnancy. recruited 493 first trimester from prenatal clinics Jinan, Shandong Province, China, collected their spot urine samples. All specimens were assessed for eight metal(loid)s: arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), molybdenum (Mo), lead (Pb), selenium (Se), mercury (Hg). used Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) assess quality. Linear regression, logistic generalized additive models (GAMs), quantile g-computation, Bayesian kernel machine regression (BKMR) applied investigate relationships The results single models, g-computation BKMR consistently suggested that Fe was positively related Moreover, As most critical contributor negative In addition, we found significant by interaction scores PSQI habitual efficiency, Pb latency, Hg PSQI, suggesting interactive Fe, specific components. Our study provided first-hand evidence underlying mechanisms need be explored future.
