Accelerating green technology innovation is essential for promoting economic transformation and achieving sustainable development. Environmental information disclosure (EID) at the city level, as a crucial component of environmental governance system, provides new opportunities to drive enterprise innovation. This study utilizes Pollution Source Supervision Information Disclosure Index (PITI), implemented in China since 2008, quasi-natural experiment EID. By integrating data from Chinese A-share listed companies spanning period 2003 2020, multi-period difference-in-differences (DID) model employed identify influence The findings indicate positive association between EID innovation, resulting concurrent enhancements both quantity quality. robustness conclusions remains intact even after addressing endogeneity concerns. Mechanism analysis reveals that stimulates by facilitating public participation-based, command-control, market-incentive regulation, thereby fostering In addition, impact on heterogeneous, with policy effect being more pronounced highly marketized resource-rich samples. Finally, combining theoretical analyses empirical results, relevant suggestions are made formulating flexible regulatory policies building diversified system.

While the commercial potential for green products has been recognized by consumers, media disclosure about manufacturers' greenwashing behaviors (GWBs) raised suspicion among customers, particularly building materials manufacturers (BMs). This study creates a supply chain structure (GBMs), (GWBMs) and consumers using information asymmetry theory Stackelberg game technique. examines how customer skepticism affected GBMs of material throughout two distinct periods. Specifically, it analyses periods: first period focuses solely on influence disclosure, while second takes into account both consumer skepticism. The primary results are as follows. (i) GWBMs saw earnings fall risk GWBs grew in (ii) In period, rises, rise, but GWBMs' profits fall. (iii) threshold degree increased over periods intensified. (iv) As their greenness increases, inverted U-shaped at times. GBMs' exhibit an trend increases continuing negative period. mechanism revealed this provides new ideas government to target GWBs.

Against the backdrop of global energy crisis and climate change, corporate environmental compliance has emerged as a key aspect regulation focal point academic interest. It plays crucial role in alleviating regulatory pressure, enabling green innovations, enhancing performance, fostering sustainable development. Despite extensive research field, comprehensive reviews bibliometric analyses remain scarce. To address this gap, study meticulously analyzed 851 papers indexed WoS’s SSCI SCI from 2004 to 2024. Using visualization tools like VOSviewer CiteSpace, it conducted multidimensional analysis systematic review, identifying core authors such Aseem, Ntim, Zeng, high-productivity countries including China, USA, UK, journals Journal Cleaner Production Sustainability. Keyword co-occurrence cluster revealed central themes information disclosure, innovation, management systems. Burst highlighted emerging hot topics, notably ecological interplay between Total Factor Productivity regulations. Additionally, we identified several critical gaps field. For instance, on governance mechanisms context digital transformation remains insufficient. Furthermore, effectiveness multi-stakeholder collaborative frameworks requires ongoing investigation. Therefore, encourage future researchers focus following topics: digitization compliance, participation mechanisms, cost–benefit impact political environments compliance.

Based on a balanced panel dataset of 272 prefecture-level cities from 2000 to 2022, this paper systematically investigates the impact carbon emissions trading system green total factor productivity and its underlying mechanisms an integrated perspective overall, dynamic, spatial dimensions. The findings reveal that (1) significantly enhances regional productivity, primarily by optimizing resource allocation efficiency strengthening competitiveness. (2) From dynamic perspective, policy effect exhibited U-shaped relationship: 2013 2018, was suppressed due underdeveloped market environment; after with maturation stabilization, effects improved significantly. (3) Spatial analysis indicates positively influences pilot regions but generates siphon nonpilot regions, leading performance divergence, although overall remains positive. (4) Heterogeneity reveals has more pronounced in higher intensity, stricter environmental regulations, better infrastructure, richer endowments, reflecting significant disparities effectiveness. This study provides empirical evidence theoretical insights optimize policies achieve development.

ABSTRACT The construction of a closely connected trade network countries along the Belt and Road (BR) is key part deepening regional economic cooperation. Based on data goods services from 2007 to 2021, research applies social analysis construct analyze its evolution, characteristics, impact innovation activities. study finds that: (1) average distance in gradually decreasing; characterized by clear “grouping” countries, with group Southeast Asian being most linked European more efficient terms effective scale efficiency their trade. Cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) represents a digitized form of international business that provides enterprises with an opportunity to enhance their innovation green technologies. This paper explores the impact CBEC on technological innovations (GTIs) among by examining China's Pilot Zone as quasi-natural experiment. We employ panel data from A-share listed companies covering period 2011 2022 and implement staggered difference-in-differences model for our analysis. The results study indicate fosters GTI enhances both quantity percentage patents held enterprises. These remain robust after robustness tests account effects heterogeneity treatment. Heterogeneity analysis shows this positive effect is particularly pronounced large firms, non-state-owned highly polluting industries, firms in inland areas. Mechanism studies demonstrate alleviating financial constraints enhancing absorptive capacity are two crucial channels through which firms. Notably, significantly moderates firm's information advantage, amplifying effectiveness process.
