Organic amendment is an effective method to reclaim salt-affected soil. However, in coastal land with shallow saline groundwater, it limited known about the mechanism of organic on soil desalinization. Thus, examine effect topsoil matter content water/salt transport and distribution, two-year field observations Bohai land, North China, column experiments simulating salt accumulation leaching were conducted, respectively. There different fertilizer rates 0–20 cm topsoil, 0% (CK), 50% (OA 0.5), 100% 1.0) (w/w) for experiments. Field observation showed that after (OA), soil’s physical structure was improved, less increase observed, more accumulated deep layers during dry season. The traditional view of Na+ as harmful and Ca2+ beneficial doesn't always apply in multi-cationic soil solutions. Initially, adding promotes leaching, reducing salinity, but excess becomes counterproductive. As leaches, the soil's Ca2+-Na+-Mg2+ mix shifts to Ca2+-K2+-Mg2+, Ca2+'s function changes, even causing opposite effect. To investigate complex mechanism Na+-Mg2+ K+-Mg2+, we conducted an indoor column experiment using saline water (4 dS m−1) with different cation compositions [Na+-Ca2+-Mg2+ (NCM), (NM), K+-Ca2+-Mg2+ (KCM), K+-Mg2+ (KM)] deionized control (CK). results showed that NM exhibited highest crack volume, while KM had greatest macropore having approximately 15 % more volume than KM. Notably, only displayed a pronounced inclination towards pore anisotropy value 0 when compared CK. NCM KCM higher values cracks angled ranging from 45–90° NCM. notably decreased transitional macropores < 5.5 mm length KM, no significant difference (P > 0.05) observed widths 2.5 between shallowest distribution variability among all treatments. Drought stress is a group of abiotic stresses that affects plant growth and yield production. A field experiment over two successive seasons (2021–2022 2022–2023) in sand soil was conducted to investigate the integration effect deficit irrigation, amendment “hundzsoil”, spraying proline on water use efficiency (WUE), yield, fruit quality 8-year-old Crimson seedless table grapes. Coastal saline soils are an important soil resource that, when restored, can enhance arable land and preserve the natural ecology. With aim of improving use coastal soils, we conducted a spot survey at Bohai to investigate differences in properties between different vegetation types. The physical chemical various types, including Aeluropus sinensis, Imperata cylindrica, Tamarix chinensis, Lycium chinense, Hibiscus moscheutos, Helianthus annuus, Gossypium hirsutum, Zea mays, were examined two depth layers: 0–20 cm 20–40 cm, seasons, spring autumn. compared with bare as control. results indicated that electrical conductivity, total salt content, sodium adsorption ratio, bulk density cover lower than those land. On other hand, pH, organic matter mean weight diameter, saturated hydraulic conductivity higher. redundancy analysis revealed substantial positive correlation water well significant density. Soil negatively correlated. structural equation model variance decomposition showed key factors affecting degree salinization, their independent effects, combined effect on salinization was greater. Soil salinization is a severe environmental problem that restricts crop productivity. Straw amendment could increase the fertility of saline–sodic soils by improving soil physical properties and carbon sequestration; however, chemical mechanism saline improvement via straw reclamation not clear. This study aimed to investigate effects return with nitrogen fertilizer on leaching characteristics, rice organ ion concentrations, yield. Therefore, column experiment was conducted in 2021 Baicheng, Jilin Province, using two application rate treatments (0 8 t hm−2) three (0, 180, 360 kg hm−2). The results revealed following: 1. combination significantly increased leachate volume, pH, Na+ concentration, Na+/K+ ratio, thereby reducing stress rice; 2. during effectively minimized loss lowering ammonium nitrate concentrations leachate; 3. also reduced plant while increasing K+ thus ratio plants; 4. enhanced yield, which higher rates. In summary, integration only regulates salinity tolerance but boosts presenting novel approach for soils.
