The increasing use of plastics globally has generated serious environmental and human health problems, particularly in the agricultural sector where low-density polyethylene (LDPE) other are widely used. Due to its low recycling rate slow degradation process, LDPE is a major source pollution. This paper addresses problem plastic accumulation agriculture, focusing on biodegradation strategies. studies reviewed include recent data methodologies used state-of-the-art technologies others that have been for decades, monitor measure degree each treatment applied can have, including SEM, GCMS, HPLC, microscopy. countries investigating these identified, while some developing them years, only begun address this years. microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, algae, insect larvae influence decomposition highlighted. A workflow proposed carry out type research. Despite advances, challenges remain, optimizing conditions accelerate process need further research delves into microbial interactions various contexts.

The role of the gut microbiota in host physiology has been previously elucidated for some marine organisms, but little information is available on their metabolic activity involved transformation environmental pollutants. This study assessed profiles microbial cultures from grouper (Epinephelus coioides), green mussel (Perna viridis) and giant tiger prawn (Penaeus monodon) investigated mechanisms to typical plastic additives. Community-level physiological profiling analysis confirmed utilization including carbon sources carbohydrates, amines, carboxylic acids, phenolic compounds, polymers amino additives organophosphate flame retardants, tetrabromobisphenol A derivates bisphenols. Using vitro incubation, triphenyl phosphate (TPHP) was found be rapidly metabolized into diphenyl by as a representative ester-containing additive, whereas BPA (a phenol) relatively slower. Interestingly, all three kinds efficiently transformed hepatic metabolite (BPA-G) back BPA, thereby increasing its bioavailability body. specific enzyme ability perform reactions. results 16S rRNA sequencing network revealed that genera Escherichia-Shigella, Citrobacter, Anaerospora were functional microbes, collaboration with fermentative microbes played pivotal roles structure-specific transformations distinct deserve more attention future.
