Purpose The purpose of this paper is to confirm the importance using metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) in field corrosion control due their potential use as inhibitors. Design/methodology/approach NH2–MIL–101(Cr), an amine-functionalized chromium-based MOF [Cr(III)-MOF], was prepared by solvothermal technique. Thereafter, Cr-MOF used anticorrosion additive for mild steel (MS) 1 m HCl solution. This inhibition behavior tested electrochemical tests including impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP). Findings Increasing added amount enhances its performance, which attained 96.40% at 30 ppm. obtained data from PDP measurements describe a mixed-type inhibitor. Based on SEM/EDS FTIR analysis, adsorption surface MS that prevents has been demonstrated. Furthermore, Langmuir model most adequate isotherm experimental data. Originality/value study revealed (Cr(III)-MOF), inhibitor

One of the current concerns to human health is antibiotic resistance, which promotes use antibiotics that are more harmful, expensive, and ineffective. In this condition, researchers turning innovative options combat alarming situation. Combining herbal medicine with nanotechnology has created a new strategy increase effectiveness phytochemical compounds in overcoming antimicrobial resistance. Pistacia atlantica one promising herbs medicinal benefits, but its poor solubility biological fluids challenging. regard, we seek evaluate antibacterial efficacy extract-loaded nanovesicle. Cholesterol, Span 40, Pluronic F127 modified nanoformulation was developed using an environmentally friendly improved heating technique, it evaluated for size distribution, zeta potential, morphology, entrapment efficiency (EE%), release behavior, stability, performance. By DLS, spherical nanovesicles were identified distribution 50–150 nm potential −43 mV. The extract's encapsulation 72.03%. loaded demonstrated controlled extract tested 96 h storage stability at least 12 months 25 °C. Also, Comparing two samples, encapsulated had greater activity against Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas plecoglossicida MIC 1320, 570, 1100 µg/mL, respectively. Besides reducing misuse by allowing drugs made from natural sources, expect findings described here help provide alternative plant-based formulations activity.
