The digital economy, closely linked to agricultural progress, plays a key role in reducing carbon emissions. By utilizing panel data between 2011 and 2021 from 30 Chinese provincial-level regions, the present work empirically assesses direct impact nonlinear spatial spillover effects of economy on emissions, where methodologies including fixed effects, threshold models, econometrics are employed. results were as follows: (1) led remarkable inhibition which was consistent across various robustness checks. (2) reduction efficiency presented obvious variation, had greater negative effect eastern regions major grain-producing regions. (3) technological innovation played effect, showing an “inverted U-shaped” characteristic increasing first then decreasing overall. (4) This emission abatement also showed significant aspect, meaning that development one area prominently abates emissions adjacent provinces. Our findings might provide theoretical empirical foundation for comprehending addressing China perspective.

Can the digital economy be a key driver of China's industrial green and low-carbon transformation, promoting growth urban reducing carbon emissions to achieve "win-win" development? The study measured emission efficiency (ICEE), analyzed spatiotemporal center gravity movement, investigated nonlinear spatial spillover effects on ICEE using panel data based 270 cities from 2005 2020 through super-efficient model, threshold econometric model. results were as follows: Chinese has generally improved over time, with its shifting west east, contrary trajectory emissions. effect presented an "N" shape increasing (0.240), decreasing (-0.037), then (0.145), rather than simple inverted "U" shape. When technology innovation was variable, exhibited inhibition followed by promotion (-0.185 0.345) direct positive effect. enhances local (0.118) generates (0.179) in neighboring cities. However, impact exhibits regional heterogeneity, radiating (0.117) eastern region opposite "siphon effect" (-0.330, -0.174) central western regions. It is crucial utilize sharing advanced concepts transcend geographical boundaries establish reduction synergy
