Without the addition of silicon and aluminum sources, a pure-phase KNaLSX zeolite was successfully synthesized from residue (lithium slag), which produced spodumene in production process lithium carbonate. The samples were characterized by an X-ray Diffractometer (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF), Thermogravimetric Differential Thermal Analysis (TG-DTA), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR), N2 adsorption measurement. ion exchange capacity rate calcium magnesium ions measured as used for detergent builder, results compared with standard zeolites (KNaLSX 4A). experimental show that synthSynthesis characterization co-crystalline composite LSX/esized slag has SiO2/Al2O3 ratio 2.01 grain size 3~4 μm, is close to commercial sample 2.0. BET-specific surface area 715 m2/g, larger than low-silicon X-type (LSX) waste reported literature. constant 5 times 3 4A zeolite, respectively. also high 191 mgMgCO3/g, 2 302 mgCaCO3/g, meets first-grade builders China. work provides basis high-value resource utilization development builder rapid washing.
