We investigated the performance that is improved in various applications through molecular structural alterations. Specifically, we emphasized importance of controlling branching densities organic moieties as a useful tactic for varying surface area and porosity hybrid porous organic/inorganic polymers (HPPs), which include octavinylsilsesquioxane (OVS) units. This study shows adjusting could greatly enhance energy storage hydrogen production. The two-branched chemical structure (4,7-dibromo-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole, BT-Br2) four-branched compound (1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4-bromophenyl)ethylene, TPE-Br4) are individually reacted with OVS 1,3,6,8-tetrabromopyrene (Py-Br4) twice to prepare HPPs. These materials high or low cross-linking density, well small large areas, synthesized by this dual reaction, also produces HPPs different densities. Based on Brunauer–Emmett–Teller calculations, OVS-Py-BT HPP has more than 4.5 times larger OVS-Py-TPE material. Remarkably, exhibited exceptional results supercapacitor applications, specific capacitance values 248 54 F/g HPPs, respectively, determined galvanostatic charge–discharge. significantly outperformed photocatalytic evolution. evident from their respective evolution rates: 1348 μmol g–1 h–1 much lower 11.3 HPP.

Various energy storage systems widely utilize conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) due to their porous architecture and expansive surface area, which facilitate efficient ion transport storage. In our research, we developed two anthraquinone (ATQ)-based CMPs (ATQ-CMPs) through a Sonogashira coupling method. We used 2,6-dibromoanthraquinone (ATQ-Br2), redox-active precursor, as building monomer along with an ethynyl derivative of triphenylamine (TPA-T) tetrabenzonaphthalene (TBN-T) afford TPA-ATQ CMP TBN-ATQ CMP, respectively. employed techniques, such thermogravimetric analysis, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), scanning (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), characterize the structure thermal properties these ATQ-CMPs. The displayed extensive Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) areas (SBET = 161 m2 g–1) remarkable stability (temperatures up 605 °C). These made it excellent candidate for supercapacitor (SC) electrode materials. electrodes fabricated using exhibited exceptionally significant specific capacitance 393 F g–1 when tested at current density 1 A g–1. After 5000 cycles 10 g–1, still had 74.2% in three-electrode setup. also symmetrical device CMP. This 175 was very stable over 2000 cycles, keeping 92.8% its capacitance. has better electrochemical performance because ATQ unit high SBET. Our findings pave way simple methods developing producing materials TBN high-performance SCs both three- two-electrode configurations.

Supercapacitors (SCs), with their exceptional properties, offer a promising solution to the ongoing energy crisis, addressing growing demand for high-energy storage devices. Polymeric organic porous materials (POIPs) exhibit various sizes, precisely controlled porosities, lightweight nature, extensive surface areas, impressive intrinsic porosity, attractive chemistry, outstanding stability, and customizable structures functionalities. These features collectively render POIPs as cost-effective material applications in storage. This study successfully synthesized an octavinylsilsesquioxane (OVS)-FO-POIP through Heck coupling reaction between OVS 2,7-dibromo-9H-fluoren-9-one (DBFO). Confirmation of OVS-FO-POIP's chemical structure was achieved using solid-state 13C 29Si NMR Fourier transform infrared analyses. Subsequently, carbonization KOH activation at 900 °C yielded carbon material, denoted OVS-FO-POIP-900. Microporous characteristics were evidenced by specific area (SBET) values 264 m2 g–1 OVS-FO-POIP 387 OVS-FO-POIP-900 corresponding pore diameters 1.90 1.59 nm, respectively. Notably, demonstrated improved particular capacitance 776 F compared that (271 g–1) current density 1 A g–1, addition retention up 79% after 6000 cycles. The heightened enhances probability electrochemical reactions, thereby elevating levels. To delve deeper into performance, symmetric devices constructed both OVS-FO-POIP-900, exhibiting capacitances 167 268 Remarkably, performance these assessments, suggesting its potential suitability SC applications.
