Inorganic/organic heterojunctions show promising applications as high-performance sensing platforms for photoelectrochemical (PEC) immunosensors. This work reports constructing a PEC biosensor CA15–3 based on self-assembled perylene diimide (PDI) nanowire sensitized In2O3@MgIn2S4 S-scheme heterojunction platform. P-type semiconductor Cu2O nanoparticles were designed signal burst source and used immunoassay labels. The carboxyl group PDI nanowires eliminates the step of additional surface functionalization covalent immobilization capture elements. π–π stacking enhances electron generation efficiency, while carboxylic acid groups promote transfer. performance constructed sensor was validated using model. experimental results showed that In2O3@MgIn2S4/PDI has excellent selectivity, stability, reproducibility, can sensitively detect in range 0.001–100 U·mL–1 with detection limit 0.00056 U·mL–1. broad application prospect. It is hoped this research unique advantages organic compound will inspire other researchers to design light-responsive materials development field sensing.

We have witnessed the fast progress of cathodic photoelectrochemistry over past decades, though its signal transduction tactic still lacks diversity. Exploring new sensing strategies for is extremely demanding yet hugely challenging. This article puts forward a unique idea to incorporate an enzymatic reaction-invoked surface polarization effect (SPE) on BiOIO3 implement innovative photoelectrochemical (PEC) bioanalysis. Specifically, thioredoxin reductase (TrxR)-mediated reaction produced polar glutathione (GSH), which spontaneously coordinated and induced SPE by forming polarized electric field, resulting in improved electron (e–) hole (h+) pair separation efficiency enhanced photocurrent output. Correlating this phenomenon with detection TrxR exhibited high performance terms sensitivity selectivity, achieving linear range 0.007–0.5 μM low limit 2.0 nM (S/N = 3). study brings refreshing inspiration PEC through enzyme-mediated situ introduce SPE, enriches diversity available signaling molecules. Moreover, unveils potential generated extended futuristic applications.
